This is really my first REAL run with an SRT-4. Well I was chillin and I saw him roll up on me and there is NO ONE on the road. We both down shifted and he got the jump so he got a nice pull on me. Second run he shows me the 3 fingers and starts to beep. I slam second gear and we are dead even until I MISS third gear. I lost badly. So I pulled up again, and was like 1 more time. And he was down so the last run he beeped again. We started at like 50. I was dead even with him, because he had to shift while I was still pulling second. As soon as I hit third he was out. I heard his waste gate shooting exhaust haha, and he just kept pulling he got about 2 cars before I said ok enough, and shut down. It was fun, cool kid. Definetly NOT stock. haha.

thats pretty much how i am, there is a orange srt-4 around me that i see all the time, his is heavly moded and kicks my ass every time but i still race when i see him just for the thrill

I like racing srt4s, they always think that they are faster than my "stock looking" evo, well, its not.

some tC pulled this on me today, im like wtf your in a tC, he got a good jump on me because i was fully stopped at the light and he rolled up to it as it turned green and gunned it. so yea i got him by about 3-4 cars into 4th gear then i let off. like someone else said, its fun even if you already know the outcome, its for the thrill.

Good races, even if you lost. Now see this is the attitude I like to see in a thread.

Even though you lost to an SRT-4 you are still cool about it. If my car lost to a Cobalt SS/SC I would be cool about it. You just don't know the outcome until you do.

And the best part about this and so far the answers everyone has given is that it is the fun and excitement of the race not the outcome that is important. +1 for the cobalt guys.

And yes, the SRT-4 is the "Fastest" LOL (I got to find that thread and put it in my sig. LOL)

yea i love the srt4, we love our cobalt ss, but if i had to choose between a SS/SC and a SRT4 i woul dhave to think about it, the cobalt is the best looking by far and nicer interior

I always get taken down by my friends SRT4 with the ACR package on it. I know that is just a suspension upgrade, along with those rediculous racing seats, but he always pulls really hard when 3rd gear comes around. WE NEED MORE TORQE!!!!!! oh well, its always a fun skirmish. he especially likes it when he gets to brag about who is faster. lol. all in good fun though. LONG LIVE THE SS AND SRT4.

Hey, so anyway I am at work and bored and can't get to SRTForumsdotcom and I like coming over here and reading up on warstories (no on the SRT site anymore ) and seeing what the cobalt guys are doing.

Evolve, what are you putting down on times? Just wondering. I got a chance to race an Evo III this past weekend at the track. Cool race but lost. I got really bad wheel hop off the line and he got a great launch.

I am going to start investing money in traction control mods in my car since I got decent power, but it is getting to the ground that is my problem.
