Power to weight ratio is about equal. I figure the truck's gearing will cause it to fall behind as speed increases.

4WD or 2WD?

Those are 295 hp right?

Well I can take a Hemi--and they are a bit quicker then you....

so Cobalt wins...it is a 5 speed, right?

Once the truck hits 2nd gear, the car will blow your're doors off.

the truck will have it off the line, but the cobalt will pass the truck

i raced a harley f-150 which is more powerfull than your truck... off the line, he instantly jumped about 10 cars, but i caught him and passed him by 80 mph... and i have the 2.2

His Cobalt SS is an Automatic.

And the truck is a 2-door with the 295 hp Flex-Fuel 5.3L V-8. (I also own a 05 Cobalt SS S/C...but that race would just be no fun )

Have you done any... ummm... mods to the truck. Like, I don't know.... a Powerdyne S/C.

Because if you haven't.... well... He'll eat your truck alive most likely.

The truck owned the Cobalt SS. Beat him off the line and continued to pull away all throughout acceleration.

Hey, at least it is a victory for Chevy...

the cobalt driver must have had something stuck under the pedal . If you look up the 1/4 mile times for both vehicles. the cobalt should have one by an easy 1/2 second.

My friend with the Cobalt says that he can get more speed out of it so I'm going to give him a rematch.
Results forthcoming...

Definately rematch... the SS should be faster than a truck... those 5.3's are pretty quick... but the weight should make the difference.
