Fair enough.

I guess I'm just saying that if the driver stinks, then even doing the average of several races may not give you the "true" results.

A video of a SS/TC vs Impreza comes to mind. The Impreza supposedly had a big turbo on it, but out of three times they gave him he missed a shift every race and fell completely back. Do you call the SS/TC faster, or the Subaru because it should have been or something?

it doesn't matter.. as the section says "post your racing wins." not "post your expected outcomes."

the OP won plain and simple..who cares how or why it happened... it really doesn't matter... the guy beat a vette... get over it people lol .. it happens...

i agree with that. Something i just realised. I've ALOT less people making excuses if the race is done on a drag strip and not on the street. Its like if both cars/drivers go to the strip, then they must know how to drive and they leave the excuses that everyone comes up with at the gate.

Because no one goes to the drag strip if they can't drive

I've seen so many Vettes run 14's it's not even funny any more. I love CSS, "Only expected outcomes or your story is bs..."

Ya I've seen them run 14's trapping in the 120's, just shows the driver can't get off the line, which with that much power is no surprise really if it's your first time at the track.

thats completely possible, they dont prep the track around here and unless you have slicks you wont get traction

They don't prep the track here but I can still get my car down the track on 275 street tires in under 12 seconds without launching. It's still gonna be sticky from all the rubber stuck at the line.

That's what I'm saying too.

You all were able to say it better than I did I guess.

Theres a guy a raced a few times, he has a supercharged SRT-10 Ram RC pushing 650whp and about 800lbs lighter then me and he only beat me by .6 of a second and had 20mph more on the strap speed, he couldnt get off the line either.

trap*

Now that would be a fun truck! I'd have to have the extended cab though, I really would.

I agree with that 100%, but here is my problem with the story:

but did a 45 roll and beat him about 2 and a half cars! just expressing why i love the lnf soo much! haha

2 and 1/2 cars? did the LS3 know a race was taking place?

I mean once again, you'd be lucky to beat Ls1 f-body by 2 1/2 cars from a 45 roll

My balt pulled out near 2 cars on a Grand Sport 40-110. It's very believable.

Ummm, what? Sorry but I did pull a Grand Sport 40-110. He stopped the pull and pulled me after until 140 where he had almost 2 cars on me and it just would've got worse.

I have not had the opportunity to run a ZR1 or I would have trust me. (Run him, not pulled him) You should stop being a corvette nutswinger since apparently nothing can beat it in your mind.

no i'm just realistic... hell, for the sake of it, lets do the ricer math:

Cobalt 2900lbs, 310whp: 9.35lbs/hp

Corvette 3300lbs, 380whp: 8.68lbs/hp

PLUS the vette is REAR wheel drive, a 6-speed(favorable gears), with WIDER tires to launch on....

but yeah, Cobalt for the win, lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSsR-B1p_Os

they meant 12.7s, because I couldn't have possibly been right when I said they've gone 11.70s stock earlier in this thread, obvious typo

that whole thing about trapping damn near 120mph, oh, I was wrong about that too

YouTube - Showroom Stock LS3 runs 11.7

Yes, because that means so much from a roll... Also, my car was running closer to 330-340whp/360-370tq. I was running a pill mod spiking 28 psi and holding 25, tuned aggressively.

120mph trap vs 113mph trap... do you know where TRAP SPEED is important? you guessed it FROM A ROLL, lol

basically if you are 6mph slower(or even 4 or 5) through the 1/4, good luck trying to beat that car from a roll... if the Cobalt was running a slower E.T. but trapping CLOSE to the Vette, that would mean the Vette would be in trouble from a rolll

when your E.t. is a second slower and your trap is 5mph slower........your f*cking slower

its like the Supra mentality

they'll run high 10s @ 150mph

but if they race MOST high 10 second cars with their 130ish mph trap from a roll, the Supra is probably going to win by train lengths...

Congrats on taking one of the fastest LS3 traps. Most LS3's trap 114-117. My Cobalt trapped 115 this spring before I sold it.

How the fack do you not understand that slow shifts, miss shift, late start, starting in the wrong gear, traction, short shifting, etc can make you lose to a slower car. I though it was already noted he beat the driver, either way he won. This is all about roll racing and your set on 1/4 times.

Can you find anymore trapping that high stock?..

indeed, theres nother guy here with a QC, his goal is 1000whp. He dynoed right before he put the truck away for the winter 998whp with a single turbo.

Holy hell, how is this thread still alive, it started to die and then came back again.
