Why does every truck with an exhaust think they are the fastest things in the world?

Leaving the gym today and some dude in a ram 1500 starts revving at me. I just look at him like he is retarded. He zooms away from the light and gets caught at the next one. I just shake my head and he does the same thing. for 4 lights people.

You never heard of the show fast and loud, anyway most guys who drive trucks like that do to make up for their tiny little dick, low self esteem and questionable manhood

pretty much reasons already stated. I have a 96 f150, whenever a truqueer as I call them truck fanboi's pulls up and nods at me I just blow 'em off. Only time I get on it in mine is if I pull up to a light and all the cars coming up behind go to the next lane. I love smoking them off the line, only smoke 'em because they are not expected a truck to take off like that and do not get on it much unless of course the truck is done up, then they are trying and failing to race everyone because most cars know they are going to try and do something.

This past summer I was in my miata, top down and a country boi pulls up beside and yells your typical comments and I need to drive a real mans ride like "this hurrr chevy 1500." I just looked at him like he got out of a retard camp and said, I own a truck but I prefer to drive something faster and better handling most days. He had a dumb founded look and rolled his windows up.

I used to have trucks all the time, suvs too try and run me in my SS. Always ended the same, me ahead and them probably rethinking their goals in life.

 

I used to own a truck before my LSJ. It used to be my DD and would do mid/high 12s on the NOZZ

 

I always had the truck problem in the Mustang. Not as bas with the Cobalt. Now I get more civics.

 

Had a lady in her Malibu pull up beside me and keep speeding up and slowing down. She had a kid way to young to be sitting in the front.

 

There is 1 fast truck per 10 douches.

 

This is known as redneck syndrome down here in south Mississippi. This happens every where down here. I don't even bother with them.

I have an 02 single cab Silverado myself, along with my SS sedan and G8 Gt, that I'm about to lower, find some nicer stock Chevy wheels to put on it, an aem intake, a nice mellow exhaust, and a tune to cap it off. It has the 5.3 with the auto transmission. I usually drive it daily, but I will never understand why people think their truck can outrun everything at every stop light.

 

Omg YES!! I dont know why but everyone with a truck thinks that all of a sudden running a 16.5 is lightning

 

I remember driving back from Va with my ex and I was doing a good 15 over just chilling enjoying that no one was getting in my way or they would move over as I approached and up ahead an older S10 comes flying up the ramp on ahead and whips all the way over to the left lane, causing the person in the right to tap the breaks. I barely heard a rumble so I knew it was a v8 swap of some sort. I did not try to chase but stayed my pace and watched them whip from lane to lane trying to "make way" but werent getting anywhere. My ex said something about them being such idiots and "you should show 'em up, I am sure they'll try to run you." So I obliged and got on it some and started to gain on them, down shifted to 3rd before I got up to 'em and as I get beside my ex tells me they make some face like I was a loser and they gun it, truck making all this racket so I put my foot down and instantly gain what little they pulled and begin to rape 'em. They gave up real fast, the ex said the look on his face was priceless and I went to slow and they whipped off the hwy.

I've had things like that in the balt happen all the time with trucks. One time this dude in a silverado got mad because I got him off the line that he made it seem like he was going to ram me, losers.

 

I'm trying to get a 2012 v8 colorado z71, I won't be racing it though.

 

trucks are great though, for what they are intended for.

stupid thread is stupid. you can't compare a truck to a sport compact, of course a truck is going to be "slow" unless it has some major work done. they can be quick or powerful but rarely "fast", my dad has a 2005 2500HD 6.0 with K&N filter and dynomax exhaust and the thing pulls hard but is by no means "fast"
