the big blue Z34 VS cobalt 2dr

So I am driving home and there is this silver cobalt following all the way home, we hit this light that is right before a big straight bridge about 3/4 mile long. So I look over to him and he nods, me wanting to know how fast the base model ones are nod back. Light goes green before I can brake torque it up abit(damn autos) so i get a horible launch and he gets about 1/2 car distance ahead of my bumper when my car finally hits power band around 3500 rpm and start realling him in, this point we are even at around 60km/h and the from this point on I pull even harder on it till about 120kmph and shut it down cause i have about 4 car lengths at this time. We stop at the next light we talk abit, he has exhaust and custom air intake, a short throw shifter he ordered from gm(suspecting the SS/SC one), rims and suspension. He asks what my car has in it, I tell him a 3.4L DOHC, modded stock intake, k&n drop-in, magnaflow mufflers with 2.5' mandril bent exhaust, shift kit, KYB suspension and plugs and custom made 8.8 mm wires(can't remeber the company off hand right now)
I tell him that this car will be gone in the next couple weeks cause I am waiting for my Cobalt SS to come in from Ohio where they are fixing the sunroof on a "recall" or whatever they want to call it.
And then the light goes green and I turn Left and he goes straight.

Be thankful he didn't have an underdrive pulley installed from fast forward performance on the Z34. The 3.4DOHC have underdrive pulleys that really wake the motor up.

If it was an auto I can see you winning but if it was a 5-speed w/this pulley you would have went down faster then a high school cheerleader on prom night.

I drive the Z34 and I had the underdrive pully on there for a while untill I blew to alternators in 9 months after I installed it, so I removed it and ebayed it. It did wake up the engine but only got my maybe .1 -.2 seconds in the 1/4 mile, best mod I did was the poly motor mount, took off .2 seconds on my 60' foot and about .4 in the 1/4 mile. In the end I ran 15.2 last year, the car has statrted to have lots of little problems though that is why I am getting rid of it for something new.
