Blue SS/SC vs 06 350Z

Well I watched this on. My friend was in the 350z. Not sure if the cobalt was easy on it but it was not close, about 3.5 car lengths. From what I gather he was going easy on it. Im going to takethe 350z from a dig next week sometime and ill post how i do, im pretty sure and so is he that it will be much closer. I would like to see the blue one go again cause i think he was just going easy. I see him all the time, so if your on the board message up, id like to see you run him again. Very nice car by the ay, both the ss/sc and def the 350z. Also you should come out to the local auto cross

I've beaten two Z's..I don't see how this guy lost that bad unless the Z was modded.

Are you guys serious?? I just didn't think a SS/SC stock could take a 350z. The HP diff is pretty big.

it all depends on the year of the 350Z

yeah that was a call out.

No the only mod to this z was the patch on the ac coolant tank from the rock that pierced it

he is bone stock. It just looked really fishy to me cause we screw around all the time and i keep up, when he lost by 3 and a half cars i couldnt believe it

any stock 350z before '06 can be taken out by a SS(from what i have experienced). I have not raced an '06 yet, but my buddy just got one yesterday, so ill run him and see what happens.

Yea, I peeled out all the way through 1st and 2nd gear. By the time I caught up to him he quit racing and turned off. Nice try on a call out

03-05 350Z, 287hp 274tq
05 option and 06 350Z, 300hp 264tq

they just moved more power up top. the older ones would be better from a dig, the newer ones better from a roll theoretically.

having owned both i would have to say that despite its weight the Z should have a SLIGHT edge with a good driver.

My friend has a 06 Z and we raced when I only had an intake and he took me by about a car or 2 on a highway pass.

He had his car dyno'd at the same place I did and he made just under 250hp at the wheels. I am waiting for him to come back from Greece so we can race again now that I have the Intense 4 kit

well I got a buddy with a stock 2004 350Z that ran 14.1@101mph...... it'd be a little bit of a challenge for a Cobalt SS/SC driver to run with one from a stop... (front wheel drive versus his really easy rear wheel drive hookup... i've driven his car)..... from a roll you might be able to stay with him pretty evenly...

definitely a valid statement.

mine was to the point where i could pick on lightly modded STI's from a roll.
