After running at redline, best run was a 8.88 at 86mph 2.2 60ft. anyways track was about to close and i talked to this gto owner its his girlfriends car but he mods it, he said it has bolt-ons and a small cam. its a ls2 gto well we get on the highway and he was driving his trailblazer ss and his gf was driving hers, we get up to 65 and shes not really a racer but its automatic so all u gotta do is floor it anyways i told her to go and i was gunna go off the downshift so i hear it downshift and i hit it. were even me inching then it shifts and drops back, i NLS in to 4th and pulled it about a car and a half up to 130mph.
looked good i didnt think i was gunna beat it cuz of the cam.

Sorry I call BS, I ran a bolted LS2 and im more modded than you (according to your sig) and he beat me by about 1/2 car and he wasnt even cammed, just bolt-ons and I think a tune.

just cuz u have more bolt-ons dont make u faster and i got walked by a headers, intake, tune ls2 gto before aswell and most gtos run different but the guy claimed the tune on it kinda sucks. never know i might have a factory freak.

didnt even look at ur sig. u barely have more than me and u have a drop in i have a SRI, i put more to the ground than u pretty sure.

Regardless of their mods, a properly running/driven LS2 GTO with bolt-ons and a cam should walk you pretty hard. I think that's pretty much what they are trying to say.

 

i agree but it didnt. i dunno what bolt-ons tho it was loud so i know exhaust for sure maybe just had exhuast and a cam that wouldnt run that good and i did say a small cam right? it was like a one step up from stock wasnt that big at all had a good lope tho.

 

You walked on him but I agree with you some gtos do run alot diff even from the factory with same exact miles and all,my dad has an 04 and with exhaust,cai and cheap tune it only runs about 14 flat and its an A4,but ive seen the same LS1's STOCK with an a4 run 13.6 at the same track on the same night lol.

 

yea they do alot different so that gto could of been one of those low number GTOs cuz i didnt expect to win but i did so i went home feelin good.

 

What is your reasoning behind this? I have a DP, MD, CP, tune and a drop-in, you have a POS intake and a tune that is the same as min so im sure I have more power than you do.

 

what the hell does it matter about you having more power or him having more all he said was that he beat a gto, thats it.

pretty sure my SRI has 15hp over ur drop in easy and the cutout is better than a muffler delete and dp in my opinion so i prob gained if not more power than u there and ur CP isnt giving u **** dude prob like 2hp and 2 tq not worried about that so no ur not.

ROFL 15 HP with a SRI, I gained 6 HP with my CP. You probably lost power with your intake and my buddy didnt gain **** with his cutout open on the dyno.

 

Yeah you guys are talking about SRI's and having more power and stuff like that but all that he said was he beat a GTO so either say awesome or keep the negitive thoughts, questions, etc. out.

There is no way he beat a legit bolted and cammed LS2, my buddies put down 431 whp and 400 some wtq, I simply called him out on it.

 

ur buddy prob had a big cam and way more bolt-ons. this one had a very small cam so prob gained small numbers and like i said it didnt have that many mods prob even had the stock intake which i doubt but still yes i did beat it.

 

This has already been stated, and he admits he should have lost to a properly setup car. There are a few things that make this plausible:

Girl driver
Unknown mods
Girl driver
Not all cammed cars run correctly or are even set up correctly.

 

Girl driver means nothing.
