the v6 accord is faster than the si lol. that is their best car imo. i wish they had updated the nsx, i guess they are coming out with a v10 replacement of the nsx...can you imagine a honda v10 with VTAK?!

jokes asside that motor is gonna be rediculous. v10 torque, even on the low side = 400 easy. hp with honda type motor traits (real high revving) will put down like 600 horses and if it handles like an nsx....sweet jesus z06 killer. i really don't think honda is a bad company at all , they make some great cars. the idiots that drive them and think they are faster than anything on the road and put on those aluminum wings and **** are the ones that give honda a bad name

 

Honda will find a way to make it around 250.

Let people think what they want to think. Bringing drama from another forum to this one does nothing but stir up more "hatred" and ignorance. It does nothing helpful in a standpoint of car enthusiasts, it just divides us into specific car owners and not as people who love cars.

I wish I was a moderator and just lock this thread cause it serves no purpose and serves no entertainment.

same here and thats not a stock civic. the amont of money he dumped into it put into the cobalt it will still be faster.

what im trying to say is no STOCK civic will beat a cobalt SC. you would have to spend money on the car to get it to where the cobalt is stock. yes you can make any car fast. you can put a geo metro that runs 20s in the 13s with a motor swap or turbo.

Lets look at a simple fact. Honda needs 10 cylinders to accomplish what Chevy has been doing for decades with only 8.

that is the DUMBEST post i have ever seen. do you have any idea what you are talking about? look at lamborghini...the v10 in the gallardo makes almost exactly the same numbers as the v8 in the z06...i woul NEVER see you making fun of that. the ls7 is a HUGE v8 too if you haven't noticed, and it is pretty heavey...comparable in weight to some v10's. so if you think, about the same weight, about the same power....why does it even matter how many cylinders there are? i could say the exact same thing about the ss/sc. The ss/sc makes ehh somewhere around 220hp maybe 230 hp realistically, while honda made 210 with the rsx's k20 ALL MOTOR. now doesn't that suck that you need a blower to put down those numbers? not really because there are some good points to it, but with your logic, chevy is god, and honda sucks. you are just as bad as the honda fanbois because you will NEVER accept that honda makes some good motors, because you are "too cool" for honda.

And I say they need 2 extra cylinders to make comprable power because its true. If honda made a V-8 it wouldn't be in any comaprison to a Chevy or even a Ford V-8.

And as far as chevy being god, not true. But if you look at the motors each company produces, Chevy (GM technically) create more power and are trusted by so many more than a piece of **** honda K20 or B16 or some other fanboi ******* motor.

yea....im definately a honda fanboi...thats why i drive a mustang. hp wise they could easily make a v8 with comparable numbers. torque wise, hell no because they make short stroke, high revving engines like ferrari and lamborghini does. that's why they are making it a v10, to keep the torque up and still make great hp numbers. i just think it's funny that you can't handle the fact that honda makes good, strong, engines for what they are.

 

Did I ever say all honda engines are ****? No. Did you bring a ferrari and Lambo into a discussion about Honda And Chevy. Yes. Why? To prove that lambo and Ferrari do the same thing as honda? Not quite.

first of all, i brought ferrari and lambo into the discussion because you were saying how pathetic it is that honda needs a v10 to get the same numbers as the ls7. i brought in ferrari and lambo because that statement would apply to them too, but you would never say that about them. i personally would never buy a honda, because i want torque and honda simply doesn't have it, but their tech is very impressive, and i hate when people like you can't respect a car company or a car because of the kinda of people that drive it.

oh and ill list some achievements of honda.

-first engine ever to comply to the clean air emissions act.
-first automobile engine to ever get over 50mpg.
-first ever zlev cars.
-first high performance hybrid engines (something that lexus and toyota are now copying)

all of that was BEFORE v-tec. i dislike honda too, but there is no denying they have some extremely impressive technology and some very good engines, and them using a v-10 to make the same power as the ls7 shouldn't make it any less impressive. hell the 911 turbo and the gtr are using turbo 6's and the 911 keeps up with if not beats the z06. we don't know about the gtr yet.
