We did two or three runs. One from a stop and ended about 90-110? Others were on a roll. I cant remember the speeds on the roll.

Not surprising.

My buddy has a TRD Tacoma, with a full exhaust and an intake, and raced it against his old 4.6 Mustang.
Dead even.

Thats what I am getting actually (2008).... I already have the cash for full exhaust and intake. Saving for the TRD Supercharger and maybe dropping the pulley size.

4.0-liter DOHC EFI V6 with VVT-i
236 hp @ 5200 rpm
266 lb.-ft. @ 4000 rpm
Weight: 3500lbs (had to search for this)

im not saying its impossible, but once you get at higher speeds (80+ mph) you should beat them bc they are bricks on wheels.

I slowed down cuz we were coming up on traffic. So after I saw we were even, I didnt want to win and find out by half a car and wreck.

I looked at getting an x-runner awhile back, with the trd supercharger but it wasn't worth it. Love the way they look and they can be pretty quick. Traction is a big issue on trucks though..

Oh well... trucks are meant for practical reasons not speed.

Indeed. I live near the mountains so this will be a nice change for me. Ill add some forced induction and some mods to let my speed lust be at ease. Should be fun though.
