I'm an idiot when it comes to mustangs...i know about cobras..but i doubt there would be a cobra supercharged and a mach1 also....i know i spanked the **** out of a fake mach 1 that was actually a 2001 v6 auto at my school haha.

I thought he said that they weren't supercharged? I know they have them for sale for only 14-15K around here for a white one and they're rated at 13.2 but they AREN'T supercharged?

Now I just have to say something, have you by chance weighed your Trans Am lately?

I will gladly take a 250lbs hit to have the nicest interior ever in a Pontiac, sweet brakes and so on.

Not to mention even after owning 2 LS1 Camaro's I know my GTO is faster. The 1/8 is very similar but after that it's all GTO.

Yes they do have the nicest interior. No I haven't weighed my trans am. Up top is actually were I took the one I raced from a roll. My friends went 13.62 when he went to the track. 06 ls2 6 speed. Thats slower than most ls1 trans am's and camaro's.

 

Then you raced a LS1 or they sucked.

A LS2 GTO will pull from a LS1 F-Body from a roll 95% of the time. And please don't pretend all LS2's run 13.6 that is not even average.

The only thing my Camaros did better was handle. And that is most likely due to the OE SLP/Bilstein they were optioned with.

 

The first time I was out at the track I ran a 13.3 @107 cause I missed 4th gear , and I still had the 30 day tags on it to lol. And a catback and intake isnt going to gain anything on a gto without a tune so I was baiscally stock. And the fastest GTO time stock was 12.8, I probably would have seen a 13.2 or .1, and that was with a 2.0 60ft

No I raced an LS2 It had the hood scoop and split rear exhaust. I am not pretending they run 13.6 I am saying thats what I watched my friends run. Car and driver did a 13.3 @ 107 is that your average. The best one on LS1GTO with the LS2 did a 12.88 @ 108.9. It all depends on what times you want to go by. I beat one from a roll and he let off every time we got to 100 bc thats when I'd start pulling him worse. Me and that particular one did 3 runs of 40-100 on the highway and every time I nudged him out. Call it bad driving or whatever you want, but I still won and I was surprised I beat it since I thought they were suppose to be faster than me stock for stock.

 

not to hate, but theres 5.7 gto's that have the hood scoop/dual exhaust/body kit option, they look exactly like 6.0's and he could have put the 6.0 badges on the sides and back, the late model 04's (ls1's) some had the 6.0 body kit on them because of the later production, also i've seen a stock 6 speed GTO ls2 run a 13.1 at the track, and that's completely stock.

 

I know 100% the one that ran a 13.6 was an ls2. My friend bought it brand new. I know for a fact the one I raced was an LS2 I asked the guy after the race when we hit a stoplight.

 

ok lol just checking cause there's a few around my town that got that whatever it's called package and put the 6.0 badges on their GTO but when you open their hood it clearly says LS1 not LS2

 

I know you can order the hood/badges/back bumper with 2 exhaust outlets. I'm not stupid and thats no problem with you wondering.
