corvettes are slow
Exactly, I wasn't rippin on the 78 vette (they look very sexy) just the times they were built in.
The vette is always one of the fastest production cars in the year its made. We are just currently in an era where a family sedan (accord V6, altima 3.5SE, G6 GXP, etc) could beat many muscle cars from the 60's.
I got you beat. I drive the earth! (didn't you know the drivers seat is in Toronto Ontario?) It rotates at 18.55MPH a second, or 66,780MPH

My coblat pulled 2 lengths on it.

ENGINE OPTIONS:
350ci 245/250hp (L98), 350ci 375hp (LT5) these are the engine options on the 90 corvette. not including the zr1. and the bumpers on the 90 were the same as the ones in the 80s now but in 91 they went to the new bumpers and in 92 they went to the lt-1. thats when the speed came back to the vette and in 94 the zr1 went up to 405 horse power that was a 30 increase. so before that it had 375 hp.

Try pulling up on my boy 76 Vette. Red w/ T-Tops 350 SB Blown out. 500hp at the rear wheels he I tried talking **** saying it's not the car it's the driver but I was wrong in that case. HE SMOKED MY ASS LIKE THEIR WAS NO TOMORROW.
1990 Corvettes had the base option L98 245 hp. The ZR1 option gave you the LT5 which put out 375 hp. The 1990 ZR1 was the first year the C4 had square tail lights and the rear bumper is 3 inches wider than the standard L98 Corvette. The 1990 ZR1 also had the old L98 front end making it the only year that had square taillights and the old square front end. In 1991 all Corvettes had the square tail lights and a re-designed front end.
They were Lotus/GM designed. Mercury Marine built the motors at the Stillwater Oklahoma plant. GM did this only because Mercury Marine specialized in building low production number motots and they didn't want to tool up one of their bigger plants to build them.
Check out my blog below with pictures of my 415 cubic inch LT5. In my opinion it is the best looking motor GM ever put in a car. I like it because most people don't know what one is and think all C4's are slow. Makes for some fun encounters. I have owned this one since 1999.
On topic - Good Kill. The fact is some Corvettes are really slow, just not all of them.

Oh yeah, corvettes blow dick. Just the other day, ( well a few months ago) I raced BCP (one of the fastest members on here) with my H/C Z06. I only won by 50 lengths, but yeah corvettes suck and are slow.
It was not a ZR1 other wise you would have been toast thoes things put out 385 i think(could be 345) and like high 300 tq rateing. that was at the crank so it would still be over 300 at the wheels. the ZR1 ran high 12s out of the box. it more then likely had the L98 moter which was rated at 250 hp 245 tq, i think that would be an easy kill for an ss/sc balt
still nice to see we can hang with the big boys nice kill

and to the kid who says vetts are slow.... go tell that to my grandpa who as a l88 swith 400 hp stock" dynojet proven" or maybe talk to a driver to a new vett im almost positive that u would be proven wrong...
Psh, bet my LS could travel around the world before you made it to the end of the 1/8th.
tell that to my dad...(he owns a 05) vettes are the quickest things made american and he says if they come out with something faster you better belive gm is on that **** to make it to the top
