*shakes head* there's no getting through to some people... you can show me dyno numbers, weights, ET's and all that other crap all day long if ya want in the end a tuned TC is fast enough to beat a GTO with a shitty driver .. end of story. people see it all the time at the track... a 12-13 second capable car running 14's and 15's all day... so just accept it. it is possible.. and yes if my friend is bragging that his GTO will smoke my Cobalt and i can post up a win with or without a video im going to do it... you bet... because in the end a race is a race and a win is a win whether it be driver error or the car itself so lay off and if you don't like some of the stories being posted because you think they aren't possible then don't read them... it's pretty simple. If you're here just to rag on some guy on the internet posting a story that some people might want to read then you really need to find something more productive to do with your time buddy.

I drove a LSJ i was looking at for a DD today.... OMFG it was slow lol. Ive only been in my LNF, and its been tuned for so long now. I was just watching the RPMs crawl today. A stock LSJ would need tune/pulley and more to catch a LS2 goat.

yeah...i thought i'd never get near another cobalt again after driving an SS/SC a few years back...it was stock and the clutch was like a sponge, had a very high (off the floor) engagement point, and no *****...at the time i had a '98 Integra with a JDM b18C motor and drivetrain that had some weight reduction and all supporting mods, but LOOKED COMPLETELY STOCK, even down to the stock GS wheels...now that car FLEW all the way to 9k RPM, and it was ALL MOTOR!!!

still didn't hang with goats on the top end and a bad launch = no race!

hahahaa that made me laugh, LS2 is the 6.0 gto right? or are the 5.7 and 6.0 the same LS?

i could look it up but that takes the fun out of having a conversation

u know u are suppose to adjust your driving style to drive the cobalt? not sit here and compare it to your JDM beast. everything u said is right about the clutch as u just had to adjust to it. any pics of the integra?
if they wanted the cobalt to be an all motor honda they should have upped the compression and stepped up the eco tec

^^^^ wasn't tryin to compare it to the honda...just giving a point of reference...i agree, every car has to be adjusted for!

no pics on this computer, but it was the one-year only rare pearl/mystic green color (forgot the actual name--similar to the mystic cobra mustang color but without as much color change)

after i sold it, the guy who bought the car totalled it...and i actually waited and passed up other buyers b/c i wanted to sell it to someone "responsible" who would treat the car right!!

Maybe if GTO's didn't look so much like ugly ass Grand-Ams the OP wouldn't have had an issue lol. Story is believable...I know my black beauty has beaten a few GTO's.

No one doubted the fact a LNF can take out a GTO.
