last night i had a run in with an evo. i just dropped this girl that i took out. everything went great by the way. anyway, one of my boys calls me so i turn around and start heading to his house. an evo( i think it was and 8) rolls next to me and give me the look. so after a light (he obvoiusly knew i wasn't gonna go from a dig cause he didnt even try) we went from about a 30 roll. he gains about half a car instantly, (took a while to get into the powerband from second) and i started to catch up. once he hit third he gained about between 2-4 cars and we shut down around 100. i follow him onto another road. we go from about 40 and he just took me by about 3 cars til 85 or so, i shut down early cause the turn was a little wet. i get next to him and ask what his mods were. he had bov, exhaust, and some type of tuning. he said he ran 12.30's at the track. i was a bit surprised he didnt jump more than he did on me. although a lot of that is the awd launch. anyway, i was happy with how i held up and can't wait for my stage 2 and exhaust.

hard to believe he runs 12.30's with only exhaust and tuning to me unless hes running race gas or something. if he did run 12.30's he should have gotten you by alot more than 4 cars.

 

i agree with you. i asked him twice what he ran cause i didnt think i heard him right the first time. sounded like he had a lot more than that but we were driving so we didnt talk for too long. the awd launch is probably what is getting him that low. i should have asked what he traps. i trapped at 101 so you never know from a roll.

 

its possible. I raced an evo9 that had only mbc and tuning and he trapped 111 lol

 

haha yea. if i see him around again i'll stop and talk to him. he seemed cool and didnt rag on me for losin. i expected it anyway, but expected it to be worse. made me a little more proud of the ss/sc. although i may be in the process of saving up for an evo. not sure whta my plans are yet

Once you get that Stage 2 & exhaust... throw on a 2.8"... You'll have a much closer race.

I agree also. Raced a SRT-4 who runs 13.2 and I run 13.6. It really felt like he smoked me, amazing how a few tenths make a differance. SRT-4 got me by about 2-3 cars up to 110 mph.
