i won my first race in my ss/sc today. I raced my buddy who owns an 03 eclipse GT with full 2 1/2 exaust and a CAI. It was really a close race but i think i had a little top end on him.

We did 2 runs. 1 from a 10 punch and anouther from a 45 punch. i pulled him both times.

I hope i have broken it in enough.(car has 250 miles)

 

You want to wait about 500 miles before it's broken in but nice kill!!

You should have wasted him, that generation of Eclipses with the 3.0L V6 are dogs. They run 0-60 in the high 6's/low 7's. With the CAI and the Exhaust that probably gave him what? 10-15 hp? He can't be doing 60 in any less than 6.6 or so.

In my SS N/A the car still seemed sluggish at 250 miles compared to how it felt once had racked up 750 miles. I'm not sure about the S/C but I'd wager that your car will gain a bit more power a couple hundred more miles in. You should rematch him once you roll like 1k.

 

no offence, but i have seen that car run with and beat several 99+ mustang GTs as well as a few LT1 trans ams.
The car is not slow.

The first year of the 3.0s were very slow, the 4 cylenders were acually faster. But after that i guess they got there **** together...

 

Yeah with a turbo or two. From the factory they are dogs.
