first kill in my 07 ss/sc

ok so im driving on my way home from mississauga(canada) tonight after a business meeting and guess what i run in to... a infinity g35 coupe the car looked brand new and sweet you can tell the guy was showing it off to his buddy cause he was driving kinda fast and in and out of traffic... finally i catch him at a red light (queen street and torbram) and i just know hes gunna go, so as the light goes green i ride off the clutch and slowly wait for him to give it,by the way i had my fiance with me and she was pissed that i wanted to go at it but i just couldnt hold back.all of a sudden he guns it and then so do i, i got a little over excited and gave it WOT too early and wheel hopped , not too bad but enough for him to have me almost at his back bumper... i hit second gear and was at his door, and third bam i started to pull like prety dam good i had him by a car length and could still pull but he let off and made a fast left turn as soon as possible lol he was probably pissed but i wanted to chat and say good race but he just turned away from me... needless to say i was pretty dam impressed and im happy to say that i took an infinity. i thought he would be faster but i caught him good, are those cars slower than mine or was he just a bad driver??

i don't know but i think the infiniti g35 is only an auto so that would explain things, but if you met up with a new 350z manual with the new engine you'd be toast. Good kill whether he was a crappy driver or not. FYI my first kill was a turbo civic single cam at 7 pounds of boost and i won by two cars.

nice kill man, im sure it was 6spd the guy was young and it definately comes in 6spd i was looking at one at the dealership one day. the new 350z is much different as its lighter etc.. the infinity is a heavy car with same power... doesnt the 350z run 13.8-13.9? anyone have any other input on this? im just wondering if its a drivers race or if an infinity should really toast us in a race cause i seemed to pull pretty good, maybe he was a really bad driver.

350 z is definately not too far from our reach if its stock and we have a couple mods, but back on the topic with infinity, whats the deal? was he a bad driver or should we be able to keep up or win in a drivers race? i was just really srprised at how i caught him like that, maybe factory freak?? im gunna dyno in the spring.

The new G35s come with between 280 and 295 HP, and they come in manual. He may have been playing with you. Either way nice kill.

but remember 285-290 hp isnt to the wheels and also that car weighs about 3500 pounds, someone i know ran his about a year ago at te track and his best run of the night was 14.7 now im really curious to know what the true outcome would be. i hope he wasnt toying it sertainly didnt seem like it cause he jumped quite a bit ahead of me at takeoff.

man i wish he would have slowed down with me instead of taking that fast turn, i would love to chat and maybe line it up again with him to see another outcome, im so curious to know how it would truely turn out, i cant wait to run into another one just to see what will happen with another driver. anyone else race or have any experience with a g35?

I know this. She is also constantly trying to race ANYTHING in her 2001 sunfire 2.4, and she really wants me to put a m-62 on it.
