First night out in the new Balt SS
Just picked up my new 09 SS on the 30th of july and havent had it out once until last night besides the drive home from the dealership. So having the weather and time to finally get to go play with it I called up my brother and talked him into bringing out his SS trailblazer to play a bit. Got one good line up from a dig, he jumped me pretty good off the launch but i had reeled him back in by the top of second and in third, pretty much just started walking away. We ran up to about 110 and i had only put 1 1/2-2 cars on him. Im very impressed with the car so far, cant wait to see how it does once i get the hang of this fwd business, coming out of an 02 z06 that I sold to my father. Honestly im not missing it that much, or the maintenance costs of having it as my daily driver.

eh I drove the car pretty hard since the day I bought it, did the same with the MS3 and had zero issues. The SS computer limits the car so it cant really be driven that hard anyway. After 1k miles the car actually opens up because on my cars test drive at 7 miles it felt slow as hell.

I probably should take it easy on it for the first 1k miles or so, but damn is it temping to get on the gas. I mentioned before I'm coming out of an 02 z06 with lt's, borla, blackwing intake setup and a tune. Best time of 11.8 with a perfect launch. So its a whole different ballgame with this car, and the fwd really throws me off, but its fun and a new challenge to learn. The more I drive the balt though the more I love it. I cant wait to pick up a CAI and Trifecta tune. Plus I sold my vette to my father so ill still get to drive it occasionally.
