i wasnt aware that because your young you had everything handed to you. im 19 and on my 3rd vehicle, all 3 i paid for myself
First was a 1993 beretta, paid $2700 for it, put rims, exhuast, intake and a nice stereo in it, bought it when i was 16, worked while i was in school since i was 13 to buy it. Second vehicle was a 2004 jeep liberty reneagde, loaded, paid for that myself; Then sold it and got the cobalt which i have almost paid off now.
I work hard for what i get, i been working full time since the day i graduated highschool.

i just turned 19... pay everything (except school)
work ethic is everything
i took the money for school because my mom didnt want me to have to pay interest and be in debt with creditors. when i finish school and start working, im paying her back directly...minus all the interest and BS you get from banks. my mom offered to pay for everything while im in school. she said i didnt even have to work, but i have a much greater satisfaction from all my things when i know that I paid for them. yeah i might struggle, yeah 40 hour work weeks and full time school is tough, but at the end of the day i know the true value of a dollar
its a rear mount turbo kit, dont you see the pipe coming from the intercooler. ha ha this kid cant be serious... i bet he thinks if his speedo reads all the way to 180 his car will go that fast....
you should toy with him and play him big time. let him keep up with you the first run then bet him money on the second run and just crush his little dreams

Later that month Mommy and Daddy bought him a used, already-riced-out Lancer Rallysport and he pulled up next to me at a redlight. He asked me if I beat **can't remember who or what car**. It was apparently someone he knew and suddenly his tune changed. He was like, that's a nice car, it's pretty quick. This is just for show. My other car was fast but this one is slower, i don't wanna race. Funny how that works.
hahaha... that's so funny that you pointed that out. I actually had some kid that my brother played football with try and compare our cars that way. He drove a Grand Am GT and I picked my brother up from football practice one day. He asked how fast it could go. I gave him the honest answer, I told him I've gotten it to 140 and then it starts creeping. He told me his speedometer goes to 160 and could beat me. Talked a whole bunch of **** to my brother in school about how my car isn't fast and he'd smoke me. He talked about how it looks like all I have done is rims and exhaust.

Yea, race this fool and let him beat you. Tell him you were surprised and could hear his turbo spool real quick. Tell him you want another chance, and bet a tank of gas on the race. I got my gas tank filled about 5 times now for free. I have yet to pay out.

i did take their OFFER to pay my school completely, i really didn't need to but they don't want me in mad debt coming out of school. my parents HAD 0 help growing up, we used to be dirt poor. they had to scratch and claw their way to where they are now.
they don't want the same for me and my sisters. hell they offered to pay for my car so i could bank the money...
