G5 GT vs SENTRA SPEC V

Going to the gym today im on a 3 lane highway that does not get much traffic. So im driving in the left lane at about 80 and i see a car coming up behind me fast. I noticed it was the 06 style sentra and didn't think much of it other then its some chick in a 1.8L driving fast. I look again and he comes flying up on me and then i saw it was a spec v. So i said why not go from 5th to 3rd hit the gas and started to pull went into 4th and kept the G5 floored and i just pulled like nothing from him. I look down and saw my speed and had no clue the g5 would do over 130in 4th gear. but that point he Turned his headlights and fog lights off so i couldn't see how far back he was. I really don't ever go over 80 on the highway but every now and then ill open the car up so don't think this is a normal thing i do its not. also for the ones wondering what i have done its Intake. cat back ,ram air hood, tune 93 octane gas and fully synthetic mobile 1 oil. I hope to go to the track soon and see what the car does i just have a hard time getting off the line i wheel hop a lot.

Pfft, my little brother wanted to buy a new car and I told him to get a cobalt. He fell in love with the sport and was telling me it was going to cost him 5 grand extra to go auto. Told him I'd teach him how to drive a standard even tho he murdered the lawnmower with my dirtbike.

they 5 speed and the 2.4 are the best. the auto ones are no fun. I was going to go to the track yesterday but ended up going to nyc for the day instead.

yes the sentra was racing when i got on the side of him and waited i could hear his fart cannon start to scream then i got back on the gas and pulled away. 4th gear is fun and long lol

Helped the gf purchase a brand new 2011 White Sentra Spec V fully loaded. Loan was for $15,000 for 5 years. Amazing car for the price to be honest. Her monthly payment is $275. I ran her twice now, once with out my tune on and once with it on but babying the throttle. Those new spec V's are no joke. With out my tune and running continental extreme contacts DWS tires (All seasons) We were dead even till about 45mph (on account of some wheel spin) gonig into 3rd gear I started pulling away from her pretty good. I've driven it plenty and I thinks its a great car, problem is there is NO aftermarket support. So its not a good car to modify.

Those specs aren't that quick, they aren't geared for highway running either, they have a very close ratio trans. I guess stock/NA it works, but my boy's boosted one is running outta gear as soon as it gets into the powerband, they don't rev high enough to use such narrow gears.

On boost they get dangerous though, that 2.5L is a torquey motor with a little positive manifold pressure.
