gettin some info

So a guy I know has a 350z, a 2005 or 2006 base model, and he has been eggin me to give him a run.
I know he hasnt done anything performance oriented EXCEPT an upgraded clutch and he has strapped a 100 shot of nitrous to it. As far as I know he told me he didnt upgrade anything internally for it, he just tuned it and sprays.
I am thinking it may end up a sour deal for me, but just wanna see what a few others say.

My mods are:
2.8 w/ injectors
i/h/e
mounts
tune (not canned)

So whatcha think will happen? Other than a possible piston meeting asphault or hood?

That's about all I can think about

The VQ is sturdy, but I question whether it's THAT sturdy.

The VQ is a very strong engine actually. It'll stand up to 100 shot just fine. Unless he doesn't take care of it at all.

Run him on both and see!

No doubt she's strong... I grew up driving two VQ-powered Altimas (02' and 05'). Beauty powerplant. Just strikes me as a little too much to spray a 100 shot with no support except a tune.

if the fueling system can handle it and the exhaus isn't super restrictive, what else would you need exactly?

I think you can take him it will be close though. I had a nismo messing with me one day, he would fly past me slow down then fly by again. So the next time i saw him comming up i downshifted into 3rd and ended up catching up and passing him at 120mph.

Well, I found a video of him at the track. If he REALLY has that 100 shot hooked up....... he needs some serious help.

Its like the first or second race. Grey and black 350Z

Why does everyone think a 100shot is so dangerous?

You can throw a 100 shot on about any car without any problems. All you need is a 1-2 step colder plugs and your good to go. You don't even need a tune though its always added safety to have one. I've seen 100shot on stock 1500s, Rams, F150s, Explorers, Mustangs, ect.

A buddy of mine used to have 75shot on his Windstar minivan.

well since hes tuned for the nitrous. he's gonna be getting more than 100 out of it. unlike the older manual timing adjusted carburated engines that you can't tune for nitrous. i think he'll have you pretty easy

He didn't spray on that run. You can tell because the MPH is somewhat close to what those run in stock form. He still is a bad driver but that 100shot would put him in the 13s with his driving and would prolly put him in the low 13s - high 12s with a good driver.

I'd race race him from a dig that would be your best chance at beating him.
