GM stage 2 vs GM stage 2 CAI & GMPP exhaust

a kid in a red SS/SC called me out last night. he said he wanted to see what my balt had. He said he just got the car a week ago with GM stage 2 from the dealership. he said since hes not good a driving it yet, he would have his friend wich is an "experienced driver" drive for him. Both cars 06's and between 20-30k miles. we went from two 35mph rolls and i pulled at least 4 cars by the top of 3rd both times. then we went from two 20mph rolls with the same results. to me, thats a HUGE difference with just CAI and GMPP performance exhaust. i understand there could be driver error, but if you cant shift from second to third, you probably shouldnt be driving, or at least trying to street race.

I would bet money that driver error or no S2 tune was 99% of the difference.

When I had my SS/SC with only Stage 2 I raced a friend with Stage 2 plus GMPP exhaust and a CAI and it was a drivers race every time.

Half of the Stage 2 SS/SC I have seen lack the tune due to ******* service departments.

either that, or it was stock, and he lied to you, or maybe the dealer lied to him

Since I put the Stage 2 stuff on took it to the dealer for the flash and seen the exhaust and intake that would be a no.

CAI and an exhaust on a Stage 2 give it what 10hp more than a Stage 2 alone. That isn't enough HP to make a win easy between the two cars.
