GMS1 sstc vs 375bhp stage 2 STi
Hook, line and sinker. Case in point , drawing the toxin out. Wow. Never thought you would fall for it.....And it's guys like you that make a great website like this so tense and negative because you just can't deal with other peoples" uneducated and unfound and unproven observations" . But ironically, you are the one who is really acting "jersey shore." There is a distinct difference between being secure, reserved and intelligent vs being an obnoxious troublemaker. Have a good night my unhappy friend. Oh and btw, what I said about the kids I worked with was just a simple and factual observation made from my experience as a teacher. A similar teacher from california or conn.for that matter, would say the same thing. Simple child pyschology, junior.
Some of you need to spend more time behind a wheel than a keyboard, i dont mean that in a hateful way. Just go out and learn, i see too much bandwagoning on this site. People are afraid to buy wheels for their TC's because they have never been mounted before and they are afraid it wont fit the brakes. So they wait for someone else to do it. It translates into everything here.
Bingo!

Ford and Slow are all over this one and are spot on...
The main reasons awd trap lower is their higher HP % loss and add friction/drag. If you were to unbolt the front drive shaft of the STI I bet it would have a higher ET but also a slightly higher trap. AWD only plays a big factor in the first 100 feet or so, after that it is at a disadvantage. From that point on it is up to the other car with out awd to use the remaining 1220 feet to make up that disadvantage with more power to he ground and less drag (given equal cars like two STI's), and if the car is going to make that up it is going at a faster mph then the awd car hence the higher trap; even if it doesn't catch it at the end which nets it a higher et as well...
In terms of the spinning equals higher trap, I have never bought that either. If two identical cars go and the first one spins and is doing say 40 mph after say 300 feet and the other car hooks and goes and is doing 45 mph at 300 feet, which car will be going faster at the end? Will the car that spun some magically start pulling back on the other car given they are equal? No...
Now the only thing I can think of is cars that have traction problems down low and are running a street tire, a little spinning gets some heat in the tire and alows the car to maybe not spin as much or at all on a 1-2 shift or possibly a 2-3. At that point if your spinning there you are losing valuable time, that is my only theory where it may work slightly, but I still don't buy it.
