GTO Vs. Cobalt SS/SC
So Remz and I were sitting around last Friday night with nothing to do so we thought we would run our cars and see what happens.
He has:
Injen intake
Corsa sport exhaust
Stage 2
2.8" pulley
Winter tires
I have:
LPE intake
Corsa sport exhaust
Diablo tuned
We first raced from a stop but the amount of wheel spin for both of us in the cold weather proved to make it difficult for either of us. I eventually pulled ahead after i gained some grip.
We then raced from 50 or so and since i was in third we were neck and neck until i hit high rpm's and i pulled on him maybe a car.
Next we ran from 40 and stopped around 80 i would guess and i might have had 2 cars on him and still pulling.
I think his car did pretty good for what he has. I'm going to try and convince him to get it dynoed with me when i get mine done here before too long.

When i dynoed it in NM i was puttong down 349hp/349tq corrected 280hp/280tq actual with the intake and exhaust. The tuner might add a few more ponies probably 5-10, i'll have to see. The responce is much better with the tuner.

What gear was he in during the 50mph pull? I was just wondering. At 50 with his mods, I'd definitly be in 2nd gear which is money in the SS/SC. I pretty much have the same mods myself. Sounds like you guys had some good runs.

I've recently re entered college and everything is the complete opposite. I had a job where i could buy a maggie in a couple months, now i can't even pay my bills. It sucks but the second i can afford one i am getting it.
