HackAbuse vs Civic
So I was cruising back to my apartment today on a 4 Lane divided interstate. My friend was following me in his Cutlass V6. We were cruising doing about 25ish mph over the limit (the limit is 45, but realistically most traffic goes around 60-65)
So we were passing traffic at a decent rate, I keep looking in my rearview and I see a third car closely tailing my friends Cutlass. I gain interest so I pull into the slow lane and match speed with normal traffic around 65-70mph.
A third lane opens up, I'm in the middle, the Cutlass is on the left and the Civic pulls into the rightmost lane and starts passing me.
He passes like an other car, I notice its a red car, then I recognize it's a late 90's Honda Civic, lastly as he passes me, I see the fart cannon, at this point, I know it's on.
I push the gear selector into '1' and mash the pedal, I quickly accelerate to 75mph and bump the selector into '2', the car bounces the rev limit twice then slams into second. I accelerate to 85 and shut down.
The Civic appears to have not taken the bait, and quickly pulls of the next exit a few seconds after I shut down.
We get back to my apartment and my friend in the Cutlass, who was a few carlengths back says the Civic CLEARLY tried to put up a fight because he could hear his fart cannon.
Another Civic FTL

Being as I live in the DC/Metro area (near Inline Pro, PTuning, VIP Garage, Hybrid Garage and countless other shops known for turning wrenches on Hondas), I rarely will find a Civic that I'm faster than. (check my vB garage for my mods list, as I'm not stock) I mean of course you got the guys rocking their stock D series motors, a wild body kit, clear tailights and big vented cf hoods, with no real motor mods to go along with the FATF image.... but you also have tons of swapped hatches out here, typically dressed in urban camoflauge (bland 15"s, cf hood/lip). An EF, EG or EK hatch w/ a stock B18 should realistically be able to take a stock 2.4SS even. A B18 GSR has 170 flywheel hp, and drop that in a hatchback (which is a 2,300-2,600 pound car) and you got quite the formula for speed. I have a friend with a '00 EK hatch w/ a built H22 (makes about 230whp) that runs 12's on drag radials.....that's obviously faster than my modded 2.4SS. The turbo'd hatches are another story entirely. I know some guys out near me that have like 450whp+ boosted B16/B18/B20/H22 powered hatchbacks that kill it on the strip. Yeah, lots of Hondas are jokes (sexy S2000 aside), but there's an equally big of amount of impressive ones out there too. So I don't know what kinda Hondas you fellow 2.4SS and 2.2 owners are racing, but they sure as hell aren't the same batch of guys that I confront on a daily basis. Sure, those done up B/H series motors might not be very reliable, but they sure do pack a punch when they're running.

Yeah there are quite a few fast hondas by me....a 10 second bubble to be exact like two towns from where I live. Have a friend with a turbo'd integra who keeps up with me neck and neck. 11 second bubble about 5 miles away...a lot of fast hondas here...I don't bother iwtht he slow ones...because most of them are stupid...This one accord wanted to race me in a construction zone where the 2 lanes narrow...When he finally got the hint I didn't want to, he decided to cut me off and brake? Wtf is that all about lol. Stupid ricers

civics are a waste of my time... this one tool pulled up next to me at in intersection wanted to race me so bad that he undershot the light and ran a red. I proceeded to do my normal acceleration to 45 ish and then went back down to speed... 2 mins later i got pulled over for going 60 in a 55... i almost told them to go follow that POS honda
