I'm not really sure why it matters what kind of wing i have? It came with it from the dealership, and i like it, so thats all that should matter to anybody else. If anything it makes me slower.
Also, I'm not really sure how you could be a "bad" driver in an automatic. All you do is floor it. Well, i guess some of you put it in "I", and then "D". I dont know what that means to an automatic, but im sure its not hard.

Everyone always tries to come up with what could be the reason why you beat the other car instead of just giving props so I decided to make a completely ridiculous comment to show that it doesnt matter
good kill dude. and incase someone was wondering the 06 cobalt ss 2.4 is .3 seconds faster then the 07 cobalt ss 2.4 as my brother has the 06 and i have the 07 and we spent and entire summer racing each other at the track and i seriously could not beat him no matter what i tried but i will next summer when the track reopens.

I'm sorry dude, seriously, but 16.6 for a 2.4 is pathetic unless youve got ALOT of extra weight or you're at ridiculously high altitude
and with a few mods, the 2.4's can run side by side with a stock 2.0SS/SC. People can deny it all they want, but I know for fact b/c i've beaten a stock SS/SC.

CoolBaltSS ran a 14.1 w/ a full exhaust, intake, injectors, cams and a tune. I will have all of that but the cams by next month probally, so I shouldn't be toooo far behind that.
Yeah I never went as far as cams or injectors but I had a PaceStetter header, Dynomax hi flow cat, Dynomax mufflers, 2.5 inch mandral bent pipes, Injen intake, ported TB, ported intake, ported head, and ported header. So my 14.6 was on all stock internals!
Nice. I have an AEM CAI, CA header, XTC 2.5" de-cat downpipe, ARK N2 cat-back and the Ingalls ETD, and i'll be having it tuned at Tune Time Performance via HP Tuners along with having my SS/SC injectors installed, so i'll be shooting for like a 14.3 or so. I'm a 5-speed by the way.

I guess it all depends how well they drive the car because i have a stock 2.4 and i raced a silver s/sc on the track and i keep up with him pretty wel (oh and by the way i won cuz he took off too soon lol)
Here is a video of 2 Cobalts, both automatic. The camera car is a 2.2, and the other car is a 2.4. I think the 2.4 has exhaust-not sure about the 2.2

If your running 16.6 with your 2.4 then I could of beat you when I had my 2.2, I used to run 16.1-16.3 with it... My 2.4 ran a 15.9 the 1 pass I've made with it, and in 80* weather... so if I(same driver) can run a best of 16.1 in a 2.2 w/ a catback, and atleast a 15.9 in a STOCK 2.4 on the same track in the same season then 2.4 > 2.2 (can't say driver error on this one...)
