well yai run a 13.2 on street tires with a rebuilt mototr so what. i diddnt start a thread about how fast my car was. never said my car was the fastest.

You were saying I got burned so I was burning you back with your rebuilt 13's, again I am just playing your game...

and u make fun for running those times w rebuilt motor wow i have forged pistons now and a mild port thats not really much for power adder there guy.

Don't know what to say except you run 13's... Or would you like me to make fun of your sentence structure, or lack there of?

wheres your slips at? what car do your drive that you come in here and try to put everyone elses car down mister high and mighty.

I think you can figure out what I drive, but just to give you a clue it will run stock with a slightly above average drive what you run with a built motor!

bolt on lnf cobalt run high 11s so yea be impressed[/QUOTE]

Fixed for ya, I only see one on the list running 11's (11.997) and that has a ported head, not exactly a bolt on there is it?

well u got me. i run 13s. boo hoo for me.

you keep calling it a built motor. it only has pistons and a mild pocket port, no upgraded valvetrain, no balance delete, not stroked. so how does a new set of pistons equal a built motor?

again wheres your timeslip?

ohh and my 13.2 pass, that you seem to think is so bad, was pretty much my first time running the car after i put it back together. but no excuses i ran what i ran. currently i am a 13 second car. but to think thats all it has? well i dont.

Originally I wanted to learn a little more about them as my brother was interested in the older SC's. Then I met a few people that had them so I stayed, plus I like that GM has something worthy with some pep. Now I mainly just lurk the kill section during work to get my kicks and straighten out knuckle heads like you (my drop in only balt walked a bolt on "insert fast V8 muscle car here"). Oh wait, not supposed to talk to a girl that way right?

Don't have time slips, don't keep them. I have ran my car twice at the 1/8th. Best times at the 1/8th were 8.7X at 83 or something like that on a humid June Texas night. One run spun and the other bogged.

It is a DD and I don't need to rag it at the strip every other weekend nor keep the slips because I have nothing to prove. Just look what stock ones run and you will see (for the record I now have a drop in and magnaflows). If I was some sorta street racer and modding my car to hell and back that would be another story, but you get out of that when you grow up. Eventually it will be a weekend toy once I settle in to my new house, then project deep voice can start.

Anytime You go in the motor and tear it apart and up grade things is considered built, how much is just up to you and your funds at the time. My buddy in college we tore apart his supercharged 5.0 to do a $289 rebuild on it. Hone, rings and bearings; call it what you want.

I don't doubt you have more in it if that is after you first ran, practice makes perfect. Do I think my car has 12's in it? Absolutely, will I run that? Not for a while and by then it will be upgraded. The people who get the killer times are at the track every other weekend practicing and honing (sp?) their skills. Like that guy Ranger that ran 10's stock in a C6 Zo6, he rented the track to practice.

Do you own a supra?

Ya'll have a good weekend, I am taking an extra day off for a 4 day weekend to spend some time with family and getting stuff done. Probably won't be on to check this over the weekend as this is mainly a bored at work site for me. Ya'll enjoy and have a good Labor day, spend it on the lake if at all possible!

You got me, you never have... Atleast I hope! What does your kill list look like darling? I kind of meant that as an explanation to your question but should have been directed at others...

I don't really race, I don't drive it during the week hardly only on the weekends, plus with a recent speeding ticket I've been taking it easy. But off the top of my head a tuned ms3, evo ix, a few mustangs, plenty of civics lol, there are more but I can't remember.

You must have been going pretty fast to get a ticket, if I was a good looking chick I would never get a ticket if it was reasonable and prudent...

I street raced back my freshman year in college, once Texas cracked down I don't do it anymore minus a random street encounter (and it has to be no traffic and a good safe road at that). My best encounter is a 87 Callaway TT, ended up slowly getting pulled on that one; if he didn't have a 4 spd and instead had a 6spd (went to a 6 in '88) it would have been worse. His was the 3rd car number after Sledge Hammer, very cool to run and lose to.

I need to find me a nice ZR2 as a DD so I can put Fiona away for sunny days only.

He lowered it so I could go to traffic school, he was highway patrol and if you get pulled over by them, you're guaranteed a ticket unless you're pregnant and going into labor. I was going 20 over. I went 36 over once and should have gotten wreckless driving but didn't.

Seriously... not even making anything up.

His car's seriously fast. It blows the doors off of mine right now.
Aw man, you're making me blush. I'm sure your car will demolish mine in a few days haha.

On topic, yes I ran an SS w/ RS package last week and pulled probably about two cars on it. Could the guy drive? Who knows.

yeah I own both cars, I have a 09 cobalt ss trifecta tuned, catless downpipe and airbox mod, my 2010 camaro ss is stock, I took my 09 cobalt ss to capital raceway on fri in MD and could not hookup at all, got to practice launching, the best I could do was 13.7 at 106mph, its almost like you have to take off at half throttle till you get to second to get traction, anyway I raced a blue 2010 ss, I had him by 2 cars off the liine but half way up the track he went right by me, he ran a 13.5 at 111 mph, I talked to him and he said he was spinning through 1st and second which I beleive because traction at the track was just bad

I can tell you that from a stop the camaro is definetly faster, I havnt got to take the camaro to the track yet, only have 640 miles on it, I dont even think Im going to waste my time this time, Its going with drag radials on it. lol,
