Figures they call me out on a weekend I won't be around lol. My crossover pipe for the exhaust manifolds started leaking this past weekend so I have to go to the junkyard and find a "new" one. I have this feeling I'll just get stood up though lol

No see that is the thing we have never run! They are self proclaimed fasted in my area so I challenged them to a friendly race to see how my car stacked up against their shop built car. The weekend we were supposed to run the car "wasn't running right" It has been almost 3 months now, and apparently they "fixed" it. This is how they always act lol

Pretty much. I want to see how my backyard budget built car stacks up against the shop car. Seriously the paint they have in their engine bay is worth more than my total build

 

anyone that needs a shop and 3 months to get a car "ready" probably shouldnt be driving anything with such an ego -_-

 

Lets just say, a week or so before I was supposed to race them a member on here with a bolted and tuned SS/TC out ran them. This is while they are claiming 450whp lol. After the Cobalt beat them, the excuses came piling in. I think this is gonna be funny as hell really no matter the out come.

This must be a bad luck weekend lol, somehow my spark plug came loose and demolished my cylinder #2 coil pack lol

 

Ah dude that sucks. I was going to install a water pump and new radiator and found that. It explains a lot though lol.

 

lol after some more testing found out that my cylinder #3 compression was nearly 100 psi less than the other cylinders! so guess be on the look out for a engine build thread sometime in the future

Can't complain, car has over 110k on it now so it's about time anyway

No my crank pulley bolt backed off and pretty much destroyed the keyway in the crank and timing gear so I'm building an engine. I'm keeping it hush hush so the Mario Bros don't know lol

I'm going all out. Fully built VG33, forged pistons, rods, ARP main studs, ARP head studs, professionally ported and polished VG33 heads with over sized stainless steel valves, Megasquirt 3 with X expansion and nitrous. I'm also looking at a HX40/35 hybrid turbo, we'll see if funds permit lol. I'm looking for a real deal 500whp on turbo and 600+ on the bottle lol

I have almost everything to put the engine together, stupid main bearings are on back order so I have to wait for them. I don't want to install the Megasquirt unit until I have the engine in place. So I'm on hold until Nissan sends me my damn bearings lol.
