ok well i posted a few days ago saying i raced a s2000 and lost due to a slipping clutch

well i got my rematch today and i went really well. we lined up for a 40 roll went on 3. i was slowly pulling on him the whole way shut down at 100 with him 2 1/2 cars back. then we caught a light he got a good launch but so did i by the top of 1st he had a car on me
(very similar to my last race against this kid only my clutch gave out on my 1-2 shift) i shifted hard into 2nd and prayed for the clutch to hold and it did i slowly started to pull on him and my shift into 3rd brought me even w/ his front bumper. by about 80 he was at my back fender and 100 he was a half car back and i was still pulling.

good run. an s2000 should be able to take you. guess you're the better driver.

 

thats what i thought too i was not expecting to win. im thinking maybe he was an auto. and it was a convertible.

 

i dont like to mean but the s2000's are all 6 speed & all convertible..
thats why its call a roadster....
but goog kill....

yea i just looked that up i didnt realize the were all 6speed convertibles.
i guess the guy just couldnt drive bc i kno there suppost to beat us

First of all, Unless he is stock an S2000 will NOT be able to take him without a turbo or supercharger. I raced an s2000 when stock and we were dead even. I raced a fully bolted and tuned with with Kpro I believe and I took him by 3 to 4 cars with my current mods.

 

s2000s are all dependent on what year....the new 06 will more than likely beat you....but the early 2000's are slower and stock for stock the ss s/c should win.

 

The early S2000's with the 2.0 are pretty gutless for the high-performance cars they are supposed to be... you have to rev them really high and keep 'em there to get anything out of them,

The newer ones have a 2.2 and are faster... so watch out.
