The order doesnt make a difference. If they started on a stock IC then changed to an aftermarket, its the same as what you did just in reverse.

I know the trims will be off but with the same tune but with a bit of boost pulled it had a lot of knock. I don't remember exactly but with the intercooler I was prob around 26ish and lowered to 24 to 25 and gained 3° knock. If you are covering the stock intercoolers inefficiency with E you won't see this

I don't know who said it but somebody talked about heat soke and if we're talking about road cars and not dyno queens then heat soak is an issue. A lot of guys will log 3rd to 4th gear pulls and 3rd is clean then the top of 4th has knock. So unless you're doing a single pull with cool down an upgraded intercooler is a good idea

I was behind a real pretty white STi the other day. Looked like a brand new one or maybe a few years old. had the red mudflaps clearly had some bolt ons, at least the exhaust. I was waiting for him to gun it. He did not... he rolled off the line and I thought oh maybe he will gun it at a roll to be fair? Sure enough gets into second gear and floors it, I floor it. Instantly catch up to his back bumper and let off. Either not tuned or STis are super slow. He let off soon after I did and we didnt play again lol.

Last year my brother and I were going to pick up a set of injectors for his SR20DET and a STI came ripping up behind me. I geared down waited for him to be beside me and pulled him almost right away. He made a comment then turned at the light. It's hard to say what is done to the car unless you actually know the guy
