I'm in. The new motor is being built now and will be done in time for a Vette smackdown at MIR Nov. 6th.
Its a little over half way, but if you really need an NA Vette to play with, it could be worth it.

LS2's are good for 12.3-12.6 on average. Trap ~112
LS3's are good for 12.1-12.4 on average. Trap ~114

I use these numbers loosely. Of course this is considering ZERO Da, good track, and great drivers.

 

actually LS3's are trapping as high as 120 mph out the box...dunno why you're missing 6 mph and the LS2's are trapping around 115 (stock C5 Zo6)

 

Dunno why you think you know anything... Claiming 5mph higher traps (especially at that speed) out of the exact same car with about 15-20 more whp is insanity.
Also it's pretty well known that the c5z is faster than the LS2 c6.

First off, the run with the LS3 was a tuned car. The guy who drives it tunes cars, he said there was a tune on the car. Not only that, but the DA that day was something like -1500.
So stock + tune LS3 goes 119 in -1500 DA doesn't mean "stock Ls3's are doing 120 outta the box".

Those Ls2 runs were also in huge negative DA. Cross check the date with wunderground and then the track elevation at MIR. I mean cmon, december 2008? It was what, 35 degrees out?

Anyway, you want solid numbers you get them in large quantities, not 1 or 2 youtube videos where anyone can say anything they want.

I've raced enough of these cars and seen them at the track to see those numbers duplicated...but I couldn't care any less what some guy over the internet thinks, especially one that laughed when I said I would be a good race for a H/C C6 without know ANYTHING about my car..just shows ignorance
