Yeah the obvious exhaust, I bet that's all that's done to it. He said i won because I have the weight advantage. I think I won because his car is slow and not built

a 350 is a Small Block Chevy (SBC) an LS1 is technically a different motor. I still call them both a 350 but all the LS engine guys get butt hurt when you do that. Which makes sense, it's like calling a Cobalt a Cavalier. The old SBC was around basically unchanged since like 1958 so the LS was a new generation.
OP good run, always nice to beat a guy that thinks he is God's gift to cars.

That explains alot... A carb is hard to tune if you don't know what you are doing. He could have had a bad ass motor with a crap carb or poor jetting and it would go as fast as a Reliant Robin. If you have the wrong carb your motor will not run for ****. Too big and you have way too much fuel, to small and not nearly enough.

From the headlights looking popped up, I'm assuming that was a third gen f-body. Limp wristed, and really he should reconsider what "built" means!
I had a second gen Camaro with a "built" 350 - this one honestly built up, with polished/ported heads, Edelbrock intake and Stage 1 (performance modded) Q-jet, and Crane cam, and it was lucky to make 350-360 hp. I doubt he had much chance, even if he had a "built" one in his third-gen.
He better go home and get a stroker kit for his small block, and a crying towel for his pride.
