DSG basically is a Transmission that shifts twice as fast than a regular manual or automatic transmission.

So that said:

Did he have DSG or a regular manual?

Oh, I I thought you were trying to make an analogy of a DSG transmission. My bad.

I raced against a stock 07 GTI with DSG and beat him by a car. W/o DSG, cars are slow.

What part of town did you race?

Sure, I like my chevy.. but c'mon...

BMW: M3, M5, M6
Audi: S4, RS4, RS6, R8
Mercedes: Pretty much anything AMG
Lambo (owned by Audi/VW)
Bugatti

Please tell me your Cobalt is better engineered and is faster than any of those cars.

I would much rather have an R32 than my SS, even if it's slower. It's better built, AWD, and the exhaust sounds like god having an orgasm.

The downside to the R32 (the MK5) is it's so damn expensive. With the same money, you could buy a used STi, EVO, GTO, SVT Cobra, Jag S type, Jag XJR, Camaro, Trans am, CTS-V... the list goes on, and they are all faster and or well built.

Plus.. DSG is a great concept.. for a trackday car. I don't want to replace one clutch.. let alone two like you get in the DSG. I especially don't want to pay for it. Also, everyone knows a car meant for going around corners needs a manual gearbox. A flapy paddle gear box on a road car is just a novelty for F1 fans.
