Got my ss/tc about a month ago. I know the kid before me had atleast a exhaust and intake, dealer put stock exhaust on, still has the dejon intake. So there is a possiblity for a tune, but idk.

Any ways, im at a light, and have a mazdaspeed3 pull up next to me, sounded pretty good actually, and had the guages on the pillar, must have had decent work done to it. He starts revving a little bit at the light( i never launched this car yet), he of course takes off ahead, i gun it, tires squeel, and i get ahead very quickly, get about 1-2 cars ahead before 50, then let off laughing, because i was expecting more. He passes me slowely with a funny smirk, nodding his head. He took off again at the next light, but i know a lot of state cops sit around here, so i let him go, plus my fiance said to knock it off. Im very surprised of this car. I had a evo9 before with boltons and aggressive cams that was beastly, and did lose to a cobaltss unfortunatly. needless to say, im excited to learn more about these cars and start making powe.

 

Get a tune and you'll be even more surprised

I used to too, my evo was 140 HP and and 120 tq over stock, and the cobalt ss had me by about 1/2 car through 4th. I was actually confused.

 

Sounds like he wasn't racing.

I will give you the SRT-4 is a quick car but not a MS3. My buddy has one, takes alot to get them to go fast. Unless you are being sarcastic... then... LOL

 

Yes, i def miss my evo, just wanted to try something new and got a 370z, nice car, but not fun.

 

He said the guy took off, and he had him by 2 cars by 50. Maybe he took off a little quicker than usual but I don't think he was actually racing. I don't know though; I wasn't there.

 

Doesn't sound like he was racing to be honest. I sat down with my buddy's MS3 5 minutes after I got my car (Heat of the moment!! >.< ) from a 40 roll and we were dead even until 4th where I edged him out ever so slightly.

But, if he was legitimately racing, then nice kill.

I'm between quakertown and souderton. Couple things I wanna fix on my car before I start coming to meets(front lip is f'ed up, scratches in paint), and I do want somebody to check it out if it has a tune already.
