me vs nissan 240

So, I'm just rolling home from work tonight. Just minding my own business cruise at like 70 on the freeway. When low and behold all of a sudden I hear a BOV go off next to me. I see a nice looking 240 next to me. I'm not sure of his mods, this will be clear later but it looked and sounded very nice. My mods are in my sig.

I kick off the cruise and coast down to 40, he then slows down to like 50 so I roll on a bit to catch up. When I get next to him and roll down the window he starts to honk off. Now I'm in 3rd gear, should be in 2nd with my tune and raised redline but I was caught off guard a bit when he started to honk off so I just hammered it in 3rd when he honks thrice. It was even for a sec... then I hit full boost and put like 3 or 4 cars on him and quit. He bounced off the freeway on the next exit.

My friend's little boosted 240 at work would probably get me but since I don't know what up on this one I couldn't tell you what it should be doing or what it has. It was a nice looking car and I was expecting it to be faster. Anyways I posted it cuz I haven't seen a whole lot about us vs a 240 so I decided to post this one. They are sic little cars and they should be more than a handful for us.

Anyways have a good night people.

I have been working on a few 240's lately, they are not that fast with the stock turbo on the car. NOTHING like a Tuned TC for sure.

Whoever said the interior is better must be smaller then 6ft tall and 200lbs...the pedals are all jambed next to each other, I heel/toe without even trying to lol. And my head is smashed into the roof..I hate it.

Yea my co worker's is pretty fast. He bought it basically as a roller and rebuilt the whole thing himself. It is only running like 10 psi right now but I think he would definitely get me on the launch. His is set for drifting so the gears aren't exactly good for highway racing or dragging.

All I know is that those 240's can get beastly just like 300's

good kill yea my buddy has a really nice 240 with a sr20 swap in it. he is stock turbo running 13psi. when I was gms1 he beat me from 0-100 but lost to me from 30-100 tunded I beast him everytime halfway through 2nd gear.

the car is fast and is fun to drift. when we went to an auto x event I took 4 over all and he got 9th out of 50 cars

btw his car is made with the CX racing turbo pipeing and BOV lol but it has been working well

Well they are Japanese cars so I would expect that their little feet and short stature would take over the main design. HAHA those are some short folks overthere. I just wish the balt was a RWD car like the 240 this would be a beastly drifter.

Most 240's are beat up drift buckets in my area. Congrats on seeing a nice one. They are getting hard to find.

/\ This. They can be sweet cars, but usually they are beat to all ****, with lame ground effects and painted with a brush etc. At least around here.

Raced a beat up drift bucket 240 last week on the illinois tollway. I was running a 25% e85 tune with mild timing (16* up top, bumped it up a bit now) and we stayed pretty much door to door from 65-120. Was a good run indeed.

of course its not gonna be like an LNF. the LNF is a new engine. the SR20DET has been around for 20 years. the car only came with 205hp stock compared to 260hp with the LNF.
its like comparing a LT1 to an LS3

Haha dang beat up on BYT and stuff J/K. Actually mosst people believe that the LT V-8s will handle boosting better. The Iron block is more forgiving.

BYT what have you gotten out of a SR20?
