Me vs Trans Am
11's is a more fair comparison. 10's and 9's usually require drag-purpose selected cams and a drag oriented suspension aloing with a high stall and or gears. a typical heads/cam LS1 with components oriented for street use is usually in the 11's
I'm with ya beyatches. I punched out 2-3 cars on this dude with the new 'stang GT, and he was surprised to see me cursing at myself and the 'balt at the next light. I had to admit I missed the 2-3 shift, and that's why I only had him by a little......
you definitely have some impressive numbers though
hahaha... There are 37 over on ls1 tech with the slowest one running a 10.9 at 122mph and fastest one is a 9.0 at 149mph and there are 23 more that run 9s and 10s with cam only
um and these are most? Cause my buddies head cam 02 ws6 runs around cam, tune full exhaust intake, and with radials the car runs 11.7's. I would call that an average ls1 build. Are we talking about the same cars? And are we talking about fully stripped suspension built ls1 cars? Im just trying to make sure were the same page. Maybe alot has changed since I owned my 02 ss and trolled ls1tech all day but I always saw cam only cars with bolt ons putting down 380-430whp
I did just troll the hell out of the dyno results on ls1tech. There is alot of variation between the cam/heads cars and how crazy there other mods are. There are deffinitley a **** ton of heads/cam cars that would laugh at me though.
The thing with these turbo balts ...well to me anyway ....is that spot between 3000 rpm and 4500 that pulls hard. It feels like it pulls as hard there as my dads C6 did stock...... problem is LSX motors keep pulling like that for another 2000 RPM in every gear ( OverDrive excluded).
I think that's why some cobalt owners think they have monster killers ....where in reality we have fun... quick... econo boxes .
Don't get me wrong ....I love my little car ...... you just need to know where you are in the food chain. Some just dont have experience with anything higher in the pecking order.
