Nissian Maxima and Charger last night
So I raced a Nissian maxima last night the guy hit the curb so I asked him you ok and he says what your cars slow... I thought so we both talk some **** and we go at the light he won by a fender so i let him talk **** at the light and I say dude that no way for you to win I was doggin it so he says then lets see you win this time I say "no prob bro" so I turn off my AC and radio and the light turns green he has a split second better reaction time and my car start to catch up I am power shifting it and I get into second and start pulling, he didnt have a chance
And also a charger(base model) we are next to each other I go he goes and then we decide to race from a roll(with autos lol) he won by a little more then a fender, now this it crazy I would never of thought for that to happen.
My car: 1998 Grand AM(gt) V6 with about 155 BHP around 135FWHP The maxima was simple but barely losing to a charge????

i dont see how you lost to a base charger... i rented a 300 once, it was the base model and it was DOG slow... NO *****. NONE. Couldn't even spin the tires in L or 1 or whatever it was. ITS RWD and it couldn't spin! My 2.2 would have killed that car bone stock. I dunno, maybe i just got a bad car when i rented it but it was SOOOOOOOO SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

ok i think you should have still beat him unless your car is on its death bed. you have 135ishwhp and weigh around 3050lbs w/o driver. the base charger has 190 crank hp, probably 145-155whp and weighs 3820lbs w/o driver. doesn't seem like a contest to me.
also, are you SURE you have a V6? i dont think they put a V6 in the 1998 model, pretty sure all the grand ams in 98 had the 2.4l 4-banger.

I'm confused as ****. This is the worst post ever.
The title says, Maxima vs. Charger.
The story says: "My car: 98 grand am GT"
Who raced what and which car lost?

2008 Dodge Charger Base and SXT
2.7L V6, 186bhp, 191 ft-lbs tq, 3728lbs (1hp/20lb)
3.5L V6, 250bhp, 250 ft-lbs t , 3800lbs (1hp/15.2lbs)
Well, Edmunds.com doesn’t have a 1998 Grand Am GT with a V6 but the 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT version was stated to have 3.4L V6, 170bhp, 155 ft-lbs tq, 3066lbs (1hp/18lbs)
KBB.com does have a 1998 Grand Am GT with a 3.1L V6, 155bhp, 185 ft-lbs tq, 2945lbs (1hp/19lbs)
Depending on the model Charger you were racing it is a very good chance that you would easily keep up since power to weight ratio would be more towards your advantage. A Charger is a very heavy car. The 2.7L V6 is kind of pathetic to have in it. The 3.5L should really be the minimum size engine put into that car. It is like a large SUV with a 155bhp 4 cylinder in it = zero *****.
