No cobalt involved, but amusing none the less.
This involved my car (04 Grand Prix GTP Comp G), a BMW 328 Ci with 30 day tags, and a VW GTi. So the VW kept trying to run the BMW, but the BMW kept beating it. After three stoplights of this, I jump in, pass the VW, signal, change lanes, and continue past the BMW. Next light, off we go. BMW doesn't even hang, the VW lags worse behind me. Come up to a third light. Off we go..BMW doesn't try, I look in the rearview and the VW isn't trying either 
So on to another light, I end up behind them this time. Neither goes at it. They get in the two turn lanes, revving at each other. I say "Hey..let's see what happens." I get behind them, revving stops..they take off all slow. I say Hmm...so I get around them, stay in front of them, and neither makes a move to pass me, even if I slow down to 5 below. Then I turn off on another road, and they accelerate hard Damn..that was funny. The best part was the look on the BMW owner's face as I passed him, supercharger screaming
