Oh deer, my ss/sc vs Corvette
(note im canadian, speeds are in km/h)
Left work, lonnnng day.
set the cruise as usual at 90 in the 90 stretch leaving work.
saw a nice white mid 90s looking vette, making his way past cars behind me as i approached the stopsign to turn right.
he is obviously going to pass, as he has been passing for 5 minutes so far,
so he indicates and moves beside me and looks over.
I look over and give him a nod and the thumbs, hes matching my speed
Im proud to say I dont bite, and he kinda chuckles and takes off, seeing that im not taking the bait
as he gets about 4-5 carlengths out, i see brakelights and hear a bit of squeeling, as i watch a deer spring out in front of the vette, just barely making it across the road to the center as the vette just misses it.
It quite easily clears the other side of the road and into the scrub when i go by, but i wonder if im sitting here tonight with the front end of my car, and my health intact because I resisted the urge.
Take it to the track boys and girls

That is a great story. I had no idea what it was going to say when I clicked on the title. Anyways, I agree 100%. After breaking my car for no reason showing off on the street...lets just say learned one of life's lessons the hardway again. You pay to play thats for sure. My clutch/flywheel comes tomaro! I can hardly wait.

thankfully i have come to learn that its selfish, and reckless. and havent done it in a good long while.
that young guy on here who killed that old lady, and is in jail, really helped cement things for me.
the important thing is that you realised it, and learned from the lesson.

and this is my exact reason why I never race on hwys or streets at night when i know the area may have deer. Ive had a few close calls with deer cause they come out of no were and if I were speeding I would never have time to react...... I rather spend the extra going to a track knowing im safe when i take my car up to them speeds.
