okay no one might believe me...
but i ran an srt8 jeep and actually didnt get raped. we took off from a roll and he walked me hardcore from the start but i started gaining, not much mind you, and he only got me by about 3 lengths...we only raced to like 100 or so
anybody have any opinions?
i heard they only run slow 13s so idk
i thought maybe he was just messing with me...

Sounds right....
I hate those things myself. Just a personal preference but I just don't like (or understand) why it's cool to have some big fat ass to be fast. Like the RAM R/T10s and Ford Lightnings and stuff.... Just my opinion...

bc u can haul ur cobalt ss/sc to the track on a trailer. Run a high 13 and break a damn axle and then take ur jeep and run a mid 13, hook up to the trailer and head home... lol

they can be pretty bad ass. from a stop it would be complete rapeage. once you take away the traction disadvantage from the cobalt, it can compete with cars much quicker than it. in other words, your car may run mid-high 13's, but that's most likely due to not being able to get off the line fast. take that traction problem away, and you can keep up with cars that are faster in the 1/4.

You need see the look on someones face when you blow there doors off in a truck or SUV to understand why its cool.
Actually no you can't, the SRT Jeep and Ram can't tow anything. The Lightning is still the only performance truck that you could actually tow with.

i would. srt-anything is going to be fast.
the srt8 does 0-60 in the high 4 second range. very basic bolt ons will put it in the 12's. a good driver will be low 13's stock.
from a stop, the srt-8 will make just about every single person on this site look silly, with the exceptoin of a VERY select few. give the srt-8 bolt ons and tires and there's maybe 3 people on this site that would beat it in the 1/4

IMO Lightning>SRT Jeep>SRT Ram>SS TB
I've drove all of them and almost bought a SS TB but just knew I wouldn't be happy if I bought it knowing how much better the Jeep was.

And that you did... Sorry...
By far the Jeep Grand Cherokee is more performance oriented than the Trail Blazer SS. It does 0-60 a whole second quicker. But what Dodge gave it more in performance it lacks in practicality. Again like the SRT-8 not being able to tow anything. I've ridden in both the SRT-8 & Trailblazer SS and holy crap did the SRT-8 feel like you were getting **** raped by the ground. Suspension was very stiff. In fact the Trail Blazer SS is pretty soft in comparison, but definitely not as fast and I could feel the difference...

maybe 0 to 60 a srt8 cherokee will outrun a ss/tc, but from a roll it would be a drivers race. Test data shows 0 to 60 in 4.7, BUT quarter mile at 13.4 @ 102
last I have seen a ss/tc will run higher mph than that stock, as a few guys on this site have touched 104 stock, add in aeordynamics, and take away the awd advantage, which becomes a disadvantge at speed and I would go with the ss/tc from a roll.
