I dont "race" on the street but Ive been known to be first off the light that merges into single lane. 2500 Duramax crewcab 4 wheel drive owned me, I mean owned me hardcore. He had 3 truck lenghts on me by my second gear.

Yea, needless to say I stopped doing anything evenly slightly aggressive until I could get the car moving from a stop. Racing not knowing how to drive a stick FTL.
Luckily my windows are dark as hell. I felt a little better knowing he couldn't see my face.

off the line i pulled real hard on a mercedes and by the time i shifted from 2nd to third i watched him coming up and blow by me....just as i noticed it said V12 on the back lol....i held up real well for 1/3 the cylinders

An i/e 2.0 Cobalt. The guy was cool about messin with a 2.2. he didnt act "better" than me. But hella missed 4th one time so i technically won once agins him. 
P.S. It messed him up so bad when i pulled up behind him at the light to get on the freeway with my fog lights in the lower grill, i could see him looking in his mirrior like "wtf is that" kind of look.....

my worst loss was against a car of same make and modle. except it was an 07.
my 2006 SS S/C, CAI, 3" pully, 42.5lb inj, hp tuners. lost to a completely stock SS S/C. not drivers error.
he started in 3rd gear i started in 2nd... he was keeping up to me... blew my motor 24 hours later on highway 2 heading to calgary... rip 2.0L stock motor... time for turbo and forged internals. lol

i lost to my buddies parents base audio cobalt, i told him he could have 2 car head start..so i gave him a few cars and gave her..needless to say i couldnt catch up to him ahahah, later we went from a dig and it was a raping tho

it wasnt in my cobalt though, when i had my 01 impala ls, i went to the little back road where everybody goes to race. there were two guys there one had a 97 or so SS " whatever the last body style was" i dont know what he had under the hood but i think he had everything but jesus himself. anyway i launched and he waited till i got about half way down the road and still passed me like i was ****** parked. i know an impala isnt fast 16.1 is the fastest i ever ran in it, but that maro was sweet.

on the dragstrip, Napierville Dragway, Napierville Quebec Canada... I rolled my 05 Cobalt base to the line... next to me was this **** brown mid 80's Honda Civic sitting on rusted 13" steelies with snowtires on them. I figured, oh eeeaaaassssy win. And then the guy looks over at me and grins the most **** eating grin I have ever seen. He reached down and pulled up on something and all of the sudden, the little piece of **** Civic started to sound violent... We staged. And BANG we went... I had a great launch, excellent RT and I had that Civic for the first 35 feet and then he was gone... I mean GONE like 11 second gone! He was turning on to the access road as I hit the line!
I rolled up to him as he was getting out of the car and i hit him with a line from Dirty Harry... "I gots to know."
It was a Prelude engine (H22?) with a big fat turbo hanging off the side of it, on the bottle... the guy had a dummy exhaust hung on it, all the gages hidden down low on the dash. Everything was camoflaged to look like a shitbox 86 Civic.

Early 90's jetta with a VR6 swap Turbo'd.
Can't wait to get my stage 2, we have a lot of VW's in my home town that got turbo'd and now they think they're king of the street... the one's that know their car told me they're pushing around 220hp.

Technically, a race ready Fox body Mustang at the dragstrip, which ran a 6.4 in the 1/8 mile to my 9.7.
But talking more along the lines of every day street cars, an H22 swapped Civic coupe (EG body) gave me an un-expected loss one time.
