I looked up the gli and it ran a 15 something so I feel a bit confident if he's not modify lol hey jeff let me borrow your car for this race ill race him for money and give you half lol

 

That would be a Jetta GLI my friend. The cars are nice and can be pretty quick.

 

I never liked VW's but they are growing on me.... I im starting to like the R32's....

It could have either been a 2.0T or a 1.8T... OR it could have been a Turbo'd VR6!

They still make it... although, IIRC, it only comes with the DSG trans now (automatic - although it is one of the fastest shifting Auto's you'll find).

 

no they only made i think 5,000 of them in both body styles. they are suppose to be comming out with a gtir that will be 280hp awd turbo

 

Really? I pass a VW dealer almost everyday and they have like 5 sitting on the lot that havent moved in almost a year lol

 

I have a friend that has a GLI and it is pretty quick stock. The motors are rated at 200hp (not sure if fwhp or at the flywheel) but they are a bit heavier than the ss/sc. sounds like he had the 2.0T with some upgrades.

 

great cars but way over priced.... I own one if I could get it cheap!

 

I used to own a 1.8t and it was very quick I loved it. It had heated sued seats it was blue with low profile tires. It still is not as quick stock as an ss\sc but I am sure it can be made to be a rocket

 

MKIV thats what it looked like..but blue..or black a really dark color bbs style rims..some thin ass tires on it..and looked like the rear lights where smoked..and it had a Red badge on the other side of the trunk..Chrome outlining of the letters and red inside of it..it was dirty so i couldnt really tell what it was

 

Stock VWs are slow. I'm sure it was a modded turbo of some sort.

 

Yeah i know he had some sort of after market turbo cuz that **** was loud! and stock turbos for them are kinda quiet..and ive beaten 1.8T's and stuff soo..and even the GTI w.the turbo my friend has..its a like a 06 GTI Hatch w.stock turbo came from germany

well maybe i was mistaken in the color and it was black it looked blue but maybe im just stupid..it was a dark color..very possible black
and just a few min ago i saw a guy in a yellow auti (no idea what model or year)
sitting there lights off one hand on the steering wheel leaning back all "gangsta and tough guy i drive a 30 40K car"..kinda looked like a tool.. he kinda had that "not now cheif im in the ****** zone look" hahaha

possibly..for all i know he wasnt giving all the cars got..or his cars half assed and still that fast..or hes got some giggle gas in the trunk who knows..

 

maybe just maybe it was those new Volkswagen Jetta TSI, the 1.4L twincharged there like 95,000$ lol

I found out what it was from a friend
It was a Black VW TDI Stage 3 Turbo.
Buddy raced him in his H22 Hatch and made him blow his first turbo
so what the hell he doo upgrade to Stg3 Turbo..damn it!..lol
