race wit a wack stang gt
Hmm... somehow I missed this one.
I'm not suggesting that 99-04 GT's are "super fast" in comparison to a lot of cars out there, but they are not "flat out slow in comparison to any car." You're just making your point look even more ridiculous by making ignorant statements because you can't back up your claim with a legitimate argument.
Fact is, fast and slow are relative, and compared to cars that were in it's price class (you could buy a new one for $18k, if you knew where to look) and relative to the Cobalt SS's (the main subject of this site), they are not "slow" in the 1/4-mile.
OK... well then, I'm sorry you don't like the term "Red Herring".
Next time, I'll just say, "Your argument is irrelevant to the topic at hand" or something like that.

DISCLAIMER: This is my opinion and not God's word.
Is there better blaine?
Maybe you should actually learn something about engines and what makes power before you start running your mouth about **** you obviously know nothing about.
Look at every other V8 out on the market; they all have more displacement (5.7L+) with a much higher compression (10.5+:1). If you knew about engines and making power you would know those two things are big factors. Ford makes motors with lower compression (9.5<) and smaller displacement (4.6L). The advantage is they can run more boost safely. I know multiple people that have made 500+rwhp on the stock internals on the 2V even though 450rwhp is the safe mark.
You can't just look at a engine and say its weak by the power it makes when your comparing it to motors that were mainly built to run NA hence the higher CR and displacement.
FYI my car made 375rwhp on 7-8psi with just exhaust; this was through an automatic too.
Again, Fast and slow are relative. When the 99-04 Mustang GT is compared to cars in it's price class (as little as $18k, new) and specifically the Cobalt SS, it is not "slow" in the 1/4-mile.
Compared to a Z28, Vette, Cobra, etc... cars that are able to be more performance-focused from the factory, you're right... it's not fast.... but that's not what the comparison here.
Here is a perfect example of how shitty the 3 valve really is.

The only mustang worth owning under 35K is a 03/04 Cobra. 3 valve mustangs are garbage. An Fboat / LS2 Goat will walk all over them stock and with the same amount of money invested.

B) Why the **** would you post on a thread that is a year old?
Wow this thread is completely worthless, so might as well add to it.
OP: congrats on (lemme see if I can get this right), killen a wak stang gt yo, dat race musa ben ouf da huk.
To the logic people, yeah, philosophy blows, but you took the class dude, ya coulda dropped it. Most philosophers are arrogent ******, that's just how philosophy is...and this is coming from a guy who's taken at least 4 upper level philosophy classes.
To the V8 pissing match guy. Here's an Idea...Ferrari V8 > All.
F430------2010 Camaro-----2010 Mustang
4.3L V8-----6.2L V8 ----------4.6L V8
490 HP ------425 hp----------- 315 hp
More horsepower, and less displacement than both...yet those cars will still be eating the dust of the Ferrari...
