my father in law has a forte koup. 172hp... he raced me.. i gave him the jumps.. buslengths later he made me pop my hood and trunk.. he said there's no way it's that fast without nitrous.. i just laughed.

also had a salesman taking a woman on a test drive. dealer plates and all. he must have told her to hit the slow lane and pass me to show her how much power it had. i put a few cars on her and backed off. the salesman gave me the dirtiest look/finger. i laughed because i gave him a reality check and he probably lost the sale when she realized the racecar she was test driving couldn't beat a 4 door cobalt

oh and Gspeed you suck at defending the cobalt on another forum... they were trolling you hard.. all you had to do was post the results of the cobalt at nurburgring and lightning lap results and it would have shut them all up when they saw what other types of cars it was capable of beating. then tell them how much it costs to make an extra 100whp and thay all would have cried themselves to sleep.

Huge POS's. almost 9 seconds to get to 60 and 87mph through the traps almost 17 seconds later, and that's for the 173 hp model, lol.

Same fuel econ as an SS, too, so you can't even argue that it's good on gas. hahaha ******* junk

Actually, Kia's are pretty good cars and Kia is making a good name for it self, mechanically wise.

Speed/power wise.... not at all. But for normal drivers, they're good cars.

the koup should be faster than 9 seconds 0-60. They are either testing this car on mount everest or they have shitty drivers... with a gtech pro style sensor i can manage a 7.7 0-60 in my wifes 5 speed forte and it's only 156hp. it could keep up with my 2006 G6 GT. They should be able to at least pull high 15's low 16s in the 1/4. the father in laws 172hp 2.4 koup only feels a bit faster.

Gas mileage is the same as my cobalt and i get 37mpg Imperial. that's not THAT bad.

but yes kias are garbage.. ask me how i know... dealt with a fleet of them. service is the worst part of kia.

yes the interior looks nice but it's got more annoying clunks and rattles than my cobalt does.

I don't know what he thought didn't get to speak to him too much he just rolled his window down next to me and asked if I was running a turbo. lol I was just minding my business when he wanted to tailgate the hell out of me and then pulled up next to me and floored it lol So I caught up to him and well the rest is on youtube lol
