Why do i keep getting my ass spanked from a 2003 automatic mustang gt with gears, stall, cold air intake, and a catback exhaust with offroad pipe??? from a 25 role he pulls my by 3-4 cars easily. wtf? wouldn't you think my car with the mods i have pull him?

yes im sure, but the canned tune is temporary, there is no one around here that tunes cobalts. a shop in houston said they would do it, but never have before. so i rather buy zzp pcm and then bring my car there that way they have a base to start on vs. going at it not knowing, cause if it takes them awhile i dont wont to pay $175 an hour

makes a real big difference in mustangs. believe me. it's the first thing just about every one of us mustang guys does...and on any v8 a CAI and catback opens up the engine a lot more than they do on 4 bangers.

Dunno what the problem is man, but he should not be pulling you 2-3 cars from a roll race.. Dig.. Probably with Gears and a Stall, but rolling? He doesn't get to use the hole shot so.. Unsure.
some of you guys really need to learn what stuff does on cars..

I think its you i raced my friend with the same mods on a 2002 same mods but five speed he ran 14.6 in the 1/4 mile witch is really good most cant break 15's here in colorado and my mod's are in my sig. and i beat him by like 3-4 cars on a roll from 40 and from a dig i got him like 3 cars so i think its you

yea this was my theory, im so confused and irritated at the same time. all these parts and money in my SS and i cant beat a pathetic N/A 4.6 v8

That could be it to the gm stage 2 tune is bot the greatest either and you should be able to adjust your meth and maybe feel it spray so try and work on that but yeah i was able to beat them i havent lost to a stang yet so get it done stangs are so much fun to pull on!
It's the first thing I did on the 5 'Stangs that I owned.
That's because most of those cars back then were equipped by Ford with 3.08's (one even had 2.73's!).
What I noticed really made a difference was when I installed an Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold, Headers, and Exhaust.
Seat of the pants was QUITE noticeable.
On principle, that combo should work for ANY car ...

Just for clarification. I wasn't saying gears had nothing to do in a roll race, I was only mentioning the difference in rolls and dig as he is stalled and rwd of course. I myself have owned mustangs and know that gears are huge in those. Bumping from factory 323's to 355, 373 or even 410's.. amazing.
He must not DD that car much putting 4:10's in an auto? Who knows..
I still think that you should definately be pulling that mustang with the modifications he has.

I seriously hope so, worries me because I'm not too sure who can tune local to me and I'm going to be modding more soon. I don't believe that you should be walked that hard... if at all.

yea i know bro..and i have no one to tune my car here. a shop in houston said they can do it, but have never tuned a cobalt before, which makes me worry cause it could take them 3-4 hours and they charge $175 per hour....which i cant afford to pay if its gunna take a while.
