Id never try to go 160+ sitting straight up anyways, idk if i could even hang on at those speeds.
Sissy, haha kidding. My 'ol buell didn't have a bubble wind screen llike your R6 does, I wish it did. Dang it wears out your legs and arms trying to hold on while croutching next to the tank as best you can and still getting blasted by 140mph wind. Course 140 was as fast as the gears let me go... You guys still have at least 1 gear to grab depending on your sprockets.

here wait let me post pics of me and my r6 at the track. oh wait who cares.

if you are so pro at riding. why do you have to state this is your first time on a "bike" when its not
Bahahahaha really? I could put slicks on my Husky 250 and work you on the track. Haha MX riders are really good riders in super technical tracks. He was going in a straight line. Your right no one here cares about your R6 parked next to a track with training wheels on it dude.

Squeaky, don't worry those VFRs leave a little to be desired in the power department. After the CBR bikes the VFRs lost the top seat in the honda lineup. Plus those V-4s dont rev out like the new inlines.

I love ss/tc cars but owners like you are the reason people hate Cobalt SS owners.

At what point in the video do I not know how to ride? Explain to me plz. Kthnx bro love u
when you started every single race sitting completely up. in 1 race you eventually got down, in anothe race you eventually got halfway down, and in the 3rd race you didn't get down at all (the one where the camaro is so close). You may be a good rider, but you didn't display it there. point blank. If youre a good rider, you know how un aerodynamic it is to sit up in a race.

I was doing 30 miles an hour, I'll make sure next time I lean to avoid all that wind, though.

The VFR has a taller windscreen than any of the new 600's. I've noticed if I fully tuck on my bro's R6, I still catch almost as much wind as I do on the VFR riding normally.

The VFR's are known to not pull up top, especially compared to newer sportbikes. It moves out good for an eighth mile, but then it falls off, A LOT, regardless of whether you are fully tucked or not. I've been fully tucked from 70 mph to 140 and it didn't make any damn difference.

100 hp on a 540 pound bike isn't going to pull like a 130 mph trap 600 up top, plain and simple.

Hey, it rev's to 12.5k

Have you EVER watched a moto Gp race? the riders don't start lying down on the tank hell about 80% of a racce they AREN'T crouched on the tank. There are reasons behind this... All dealing in physics, which I'm not going to explain on here. But I'll just say that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Haha 100 hp if your lucky. Those V-4 are decent with torque though. The new inlines don't even get into power until 10k minimum... Hell the R6 runs up to 16k with a tune. It's crazy that in the early and mid 90s the VFR was THE BEAST of the honda lineup. The F4i was the end of that though.

I'm not saying power at the rear wheel. Honda rated them at 100 hp, 52 lb ft. of torque. So about 6-8 more lb ft. than most 600 sportbikes.

Honestly, I don't care that it's not the fastest in a straight line, because the powerband on it is so amazing. I love being able to just roll into it anywhere and not have to shift down 10 times and rev to 24902492 rpms.

It's also fun hurting new sportbikes feelings on it in twisties.

The most fun bike for me to ride is my dad's 1973 Z1. You sit up on it and it feels like I dirtbike so I'm right at home. Ended up leaving the pack of riders we were with on a curvey road here, they couldn't believe it.

alright really? my uneducated unskilled wrx has run faster than 99.9% of this board. are you really trying to get into this again?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QAKKmG-MpQ
On a horrible prep night in 90+ degree weathe (I was the 3rd fastest street car that night, the conditions were horrible. Only car to beat me was a new cts v with full bolts on and a tune and a turbo swapped sti making over 450whp), spinning so i only was getting low 1.7 60 foots only boosting 17.5 psi on stock turbo. I turned it down from 19 psi. Now i have a 20g turbo on it with a lot of other stuff. If you dont believe me i can post pics of everything. Ill prob be running in the low 120's on pump. I also have a race gas tune thats making a **** ton more power obviously. Didn't know that equaled uneducated and unskilled. you can hear in the vid i ran a 12.70. I was heaksoaking like crazy on the crappy stock TMIC. my best run of that night was a 12.47, I just wanted to actually race and beat a zo6 so my friend recorded this on his i phone.

and yes, ive also watched a lot of motoGP races, they are crouched in every single straightaway.

YouTube - Indy MotoGP Back Straight Flyby
YouTube - sbk 2008 Magny Cours gara 2 -DUCATI titolo mondiale

i can keep finding them all day. they get down on straights and get up on turns. guess they dont know anything about physics either.

I hear that, I love that about the bike too. The last one I rode was an ABS model VFR800 (2003 or 2004 I think). You really need to try a buell like my X1. They are monsters in tight technical tracks or on mountain roads. I had 100 lbs of torque at the rear wheel with mine, and a Lindeman suspension (totally beast). All it took was intake, full exhaust, and a tune. I had the heads ported and polished too which helped, but even without that stuff that twin would kill. I have hung with duc 999's on tight technical tracks. They would laugh their asses off at my "touring" bike with dunlop qualifiers on it, until they saw the rearend of it passing them in the turns... too bad it had NO topend. It didn't even have clip ons, I had a set of ProTapers on it.

Reston, did you not read my post about bikes. I said 80% of the time is spent out of the croutch. The straights, where you actually are croutched, account for a very small portion of a race. You win or lose in the turns. So like I said. You don't know jack **** about motorbikes dude. I would put money down that you don't know what VFR means without google. I have been riding dirtbikes since before I can remember and I have been racing streebikes for like 10 years. I know how track perfomance works dude. There wasn't anything wrong with the take off against that Z-28.

were there any turns in the OP's race? NO. I know that in motoGP the race is won and lost in the turns. I was never debating that dude. I posted those vids to prove that even motoGP guys crouch on straightaways which the OP was racing in a straight line and not crouching for the most part. You need to go back and reread everything ive said and chill out. Dirtbikes have nothing to do with crotch rockets. Ive rode dirt bikes as well, not the same.

Keep in mind that is a full suspension car on Nitto DR's. When I rode in it, it spun first a bit then just grabbed like none other in second. Keep in mine I'm on a 20 year old bike. The Z28 went 11.58 as a stalled auto, but pulls a LOT harder now up top.

And that launch was fairly shitty on my part, I launched it at 8k and didn't slip the clutch quite enough so it bogged. Still wasn't terrible.

And Ry, you need to try an older VFR. The 02+ models have VTEC and are complete turds until it kicks in. I rode my cousin's 04 and hated it. That and they don't have the badass sounding gear driven cams like mine.

Looks gay in this vid because I had the rear cowl off for my girlfriend, but here's a soundclip.

Yea but I rode it while I was working at a dealership so I didn't have a choice in year. I rode most of the new bikes for 2004-2006. It was a fun job until I went to finish school. My favorite was the RVT1000R. Ughhhh still makes me cream my pants. Just the sound gets me hard... It will be my next race bike for sure.

Haha reston I was originally responding to you saying he can't ride a bike. You are mistaken and you still don't know ****. No amount of arguing will change that you are dumb when it comes to bikes get over it

How am I mistaken and dont know ****? I posted proof of crouching on straights. If the vfr has a higher windscreen thats fine, but he was sitting STRAIGHT UP at the start of the vids, in 2 he slowly began to crouch as the race moved on. even another member said the same thing. go attack him. Youre just showing youre a douche by attacking me. You post no proof of anything you just keep being an ass.

ryridesmotox stop bouncing on squeeks wang.

and watch isle of man tt. tell me when they situp its deffinetly not 90 % of the time.

thats besides the point. I guess seeing that everyone that said he cant ride is referring to the "STRAIGHT LINE" that he is driving and not on a track. we are not talking about track riding are we. i swore we were talking about his video. which any somewhat educated rider knows to ******* tuck LOL.
