well im not familar with all these STg2 and what not for cobalts but my friend with a stock SRT wants to have some fun with one of them...if your local post up

Not trying to start **** but it would be the Stage 2 SS/SC that would be having fun with the SRT-4.

stage 2 ss will rape it in second gear but in 3rd they will stay even wit the ss around 2.5-3 car lenghts ahead and they will stick dead even from there with mild pulling from each car. but thats just my speculation

A Stage 2 will just plain kill a SRT-4 (Stock or Stage 1) there won't be any staying even or catching up going on in the SRT-4. I handed a Stage 1 SRT-4 it'ass from a 40mph roll to 120mph.

 

I want to see Stage 2 Cobalt and Stage 2 Srt-4 versus each other. I know the Cobalt will lose but I wonder the Outcome any know for sure? seen two race?

The srt should have atleast 2-3 cars if not more, because when my friend raced a C5 corvette in his srt with a 50trim I was about 5-6 cars behind and I am stock, stage 2 may help

 

wel i ordered my stage 1 on monday for my cobalt and already have a 2.8" pulley, headers, drop in filter and muffler swap and my roommate has an srt 4 stage 2 CAI and exhaust so i hope it will be in in time for the track on friday. i will make sure we get it on vid. i am just hoping to keep up with his car that **** is fast as hell

 

woah easy kido!, you took it from a roll right? ok very good, go race one from a dig with your wheel hop and see what happens, not to mention that 2nd gear is our strongest gear which is basically where u started from in the strongest point in the powerband. chances are youll still beat it, but not "rape" like u said. just because u got ur stage 2 dont mean u can take everything now, i mean it maybe the **** but someone needs to get off their high horse lol

 

I'll just say that my Stage 2 killed quite a bit of SRT-4's. One was stock, not even a race to me. One with a downpipe, intake and straight exhaust wasn't even a race, and the one with a TB exhaust, intake, larger front mount, boost controller, and some other mods was the only one that put up and honest fight.

You act as if Stage 1 a SRT-4 is a 50HP gain and it isn't.

It was the same result from a dig also, both cars are FWD so why even act as if the SS/SC would have a huge disadvantage from a dig anyway?

After having more than my share of cars I can launch my SS/SC like a mad man and still get little to no wheel hop.

Lol SRT is FWGAY too, we hop just as bad if not worse cause we got the more TQ...Seriously a friend with a stock SRT is looking for STG 2 cobalt SS's....If your in the Longisland ARea of NY shoot me a PM....hes waxed quite a few Cobalts so hes not worried...

 

Well I hope your friend is ready to get waxed, killed or murdered. Stock vs Stock SS/SC against SRT-4 is close, but it seems that driver error has made many SS/SC's look bad and only made SRT-4 egos bigger.

You better prepare your friend for a serious loss.................

 

hey u know wuts funny about that, theres about 2 or 3 other ppl here sayin the samething lol, different company stages put down different amounts of power, for example mopar puts down more than any other company srt related that i know of. And it wouldnt take a "50 net hp gain" for a stage 1 srt to take u out. if you get a shitty launch your gonna get embarrased so just watch ur ass, im still on ur side man, **** srt's. good luck to u bro

 

some of u need to know ur enemies a little better before u go out and talk ****. srts have less wheel hop than we do cause of their smaller rims and tires, and their tires are much better than our ****, god i hate those things, there are also a few other reasons they have less wheel hop than us but this is good for now. But throw some 16's on an ss with some new tires and tell me if u rape a STOCK srt off the line?

 

Its possible. When I was stock from a roll an SRT would pull me inch by inch. Too close for comfort.

 

Raced an SRT4 with intake and a few other mods and left back a couple cars.....a couple times.

But a S1 srt4 with WGA and a tune anything can happen.

I was supposed to be racing a S2 SRT4 last night but my clutch is slippin like a boitch.
