Alright....The fastest stock srt4 I've ever heard of (HEARD OF) I belive went a 13.7 in the 1/4 mile. If I remember correctly (Tofu can chime in and correct me) but he hit a 13.69 with a 3 inch pulley and maybe something else like an intake. I'm almost 100% sure it was just a pulley though. Even if it wasn't he probably still isn't putting out the same hp number as the SS Stage 2 is. The 3 inch pulley is the same size pulley that the GM stage 2 uses. So with tuning, fuel injectors, and 7000 rpm rev limit, we know that the kit is "Capable" of at least a 13.69. Well it should be.

Hey Self,
On a side note, my S2 w/o is coming in tomorrow along with my buddy's old AGP WGA (non billet), I was wondering how you liked that setup. I dont have money for DTEC/SAFC so I cant tune that rich curve im going to have. Any suggestions. BTW SS4ME you should look at the Self's mod list and know you might as well stop talking ****, I would venture to guess that he could pull a low 13 with decent 60' and high 12's with DR's.

I know about his mods, he has no times to show he can take advantage if his horsepower. The only time this knucklehead chimes in is when someone breaks. Like SRT-4s never break, PLEASE!! He has brought nothing to this forum! If his little comment at the end of his list "You=owned" is not the dumbest thing I have read, I have not read enough! Selfs IQ<80...

I like 50 trim srt-4s. I ran one once. Not bad. He ran an 11.98(i think) and I ran an 11.83 in the 1320. Theyre fast, dont get me wrong(especially on the street)

LOL, 9.1 stock @81mph with a shitty 2.27 60'... Clutch still going strong. BTW I just sheared two motor mount bolts last week at the track on a launch, so yes SRT-4's do break.

Yeah, most evo 8's dyno around 238-245. I don't know about the 9's though...I'm guessing they are a little bit higher than that?

Wow, thank you! My brother just rode in a 9 for the first time, he coulnt stop talking about it. I can wait to let him ride in my new beast! Hes looking for a nice car now, I recommended the cobalt ss/sc and srt4 for the price(he cant afford an evo/sti yet, lol), since you cant beat it for the amount of power they make!

No offence to the evo owners in here, but I know your guys weak spot. 5 mph roll (that is if you just punch it at 5 and not stick the clutch in, rev it up, and dump the clutch at 5). Beat my friends Evo 8 up to 80 doing that. He had an intake and exhaust. I had just an exhaust. Of course after 80 it was a different story lol. He literally blew by me.

None taken . I must say tho, a stock or close to stock evo, this is true. Your friends evo has an intake, I assume no flash(could be wrong) which without a good tune is causing him to lose power! I havent raced from a 5 roll yet, lol. Its usually from 35-45.

Yeah, he doesn't have a tune. My other friend has one and WOW. That thing moves. With a tune, intake, exhaust, and boost controller he hit a 12.5 I belive. That's amazing.

Stage 1 on a 04-05 SRT-4 is a 10 HP gain. For '03 about 25 HP or so. Stage 2 cobalt against Stage 1 SRT-4 no matter what year the Cobalt with driver's being equal will win. Even with the Wheel hop.......but hey wheel hop can be limited/cure.

Rarely will you find any S1 SRT with just the ECU and nothing else. That thing opens a door to so many cheap easy bolt-ons.

I noticed something in your mods list. If you want to run a 2.8" pulley right away then get the GM stage 1 then the 2.8" pulley, no sense in wasting money. I found out the hardway, but in the end this is what I want because I don't want any warranty troubles.

Just an F.Y.I

That I do agree with!

However I was having fun talking theory here

Reality is that both cars can make some awesome power with the right mods and it all depends on the day, track conditions, the current mods and who's driving on who's faster.

Makes for good times really, and the chance to make some friends or at least get to know those that have a similar interest and taste. Provided everyone can keep their egos and fanboy flair in-check.

Also I spent most of my time the last 6 months on the .com threads and hadn't spent much time here. A post every month or. I am enjoying myself on BOTH threads but really I have been missing out on some great info and individuals out there.

I actually think an 'only' S1 SRT and 'only' S1 SS would be damn tight race, theoretically.
