SRT4 FTL! lol
i have a question, we have 2 srt4's where i live, so tell me do they come in any other color than blue? why are they all blue, every one i see is blue damit. lol iv never raced one, but one was blowing off today in town for no reason in slow traffic. not quite as loud as the 240 that u can hear from the other side of the country. lol

Say what you want man, that is your given right in this country. All to often I see threads though stating other cars were Heavily modded and I beat them. The SRT-4 isn't the end all be all of the 4 cyl world. Trust me I know. I have a lot of respect for the SS/TC actually. You can always check my other post on this forum to back that up. Rarely will I ever bash someone.
What I don't like seeing is someone saying that their car beat another car that HAD to be putting down lots of power because the exhaust was loud (that is stock) and they could hear a BOV (which we can install the MOPAR Blue Plate for like $40 which is annoying as hell).
If the race did happen, and he won, good for him. I am happy for him. I know I am happy when I race someone and kill them, by alittle or by a lot. If I loose I congratulate the other guy. Must mean they got a decent powerful car.
What I am saying is would you want me to come on here and say I completely demolished a heavily modded SS/SC because I could hear his SC (which you can hear the stock one) and because he had a fart can on the back of his car, so he must have been heavily modded and putting down like 300 whp but I beat him in my 260 whp car? Don't think so. You would be calling BS. You would be saying how do you know what mods he had? etc....
As of yet, I haven't had a single SS/SC or TC, honda, mustang, camaro, etc... try and race me since I have been back in the states. Had a slow Audi try.
Must be something about my BOV and my loud exhaust that must make them think I am heavily modded and scare them off......

True, either way it is a good kill. I am just saying there is a big difference between a stock SRT-4, a "mildly modded" SRT-4, and a "heavily modded" SRT-4.
I guess it is like the way we look at civics, we hear a fart can on them and figure they must be modded and therefore dumped money into their car, then when you race them and they lose by bus lengths we question why even bother putting the money into the car when you can just buy a faster car to start with.
The way I look at the SS/TC and the SRT-4 is: SS/TC > SRT-4.
Both have about the same power stock, both are FWD, both will handle pretty decent.
The advantage will go to the SS/TC though due to IMO, a better beginning setup. The NLS option on the car is awesome to begin with. That alone can win races and drop some decent time at the track too. I dropped .4 - .5 at the track with my WOT Box = No lift shift. Plus I believe the SS/TC will make alittle more power to the wheels stock than the SRT-4 will. Every little bit helps.
Anyway, I am done with this thread. Not much point in posting up more.

A roll shows what car is essentially faster overall. Dig shows who can launch their car better. 1/4 miles times dont proove the faster car
12.5 second srt-4 is faster than a 12.5 second evo because evo needed the AWD launch to make that time. Roll actually prooves the true speed of the car.

i took my car into gm and got warrenty done they asked who tuned my car i told them local tuner they didnt care so i dont know maybe i just a sweet dealer or someshit and they also asked who installed my upgrades i said same guy that tuned it and all they said was ok well we fixed the problem and heres your red rocket

digs.....usually against AWD cars too. Evos, STi's, Skyline R-33 GT-R, Celica GT Four, WRX.
The fwd and rwd cars I raced weren't much of a challenge.

Meh..I've never seen a "stock" Srt-4 in person. Just like i've never seen a stock 5.0 foxbody etc.... But everytime one gets beat I read that it "must" be stock or worse. I demolished a Srt-4 and everyone called the stock card. ( i couldn't argue because i didn't know). Two days later I raced a lightly modded 09' wrx and the result was almost the same. I didn't bother mentioning it because I realized u WILL NEVER appease or satisfy everyone. There will always b an excuse of some sort. But I know what my peon econobox did and im fine with that.

The 09's make 265 bhp and 244 tq. Figure they loose between 18-20% drivetrain loss. That is between 48-53 hp loss due to the awd. Which brings you to 212-217 whp. That is definitely believable. Infact if you are roll racing you should demolish a 09 WRX.
I know I raced an 06 WRX, that was 230 bhp stock and he had mods and a tune done at the time, and demolished him from a dig. He upgraded his turbo and TMIC to the STi turbo and TMIC and had the car retuned as well, and then it was difficult to beat him. It would be a close race, drivers race from a dig. Never raced him from a roll but seeing how close we were from a dig I would say I would out run him still from a roll.
Oh and the 09's are ugly as sin.
