SS S/C vs. 06 2.4 SS

Met up with a bunch of people and saw a 2.4 SS in white there. After looking over the engines and diff parts of the car we decided to line them up against each other. took off at green agreeing to go up to 60. I must say, I was really not that impressed with the 2.4 SS, maybe hes a really bad driver or whatnot..I thought I saw someone post a SS time of 15.3, that is all

Not sure what this post is about. Obviously a S/C SS is faster. But the 2.4L is no slouch as proven by me and MikeSS. Now swtich drivers and see who wins!

I tought from your first post you checked the car out and so I did think it was a 5 speed.
An auto would be noticeably slower.

Wanna here the funny thing with that time i bet he can beat or tie roughly 50 percent of the cobalt ss/sc owners on this web site. Think about it.

lol, I don't think my car is that fast, I live in a low altitude (800 feet above sea level) and cold climate (Toronto)

Wait until tomorrow when I use my new intake on a track at 50 degrees outside

One of you 2.4L SS guys should go find a new Civic si and whip 'em. They'll probably think you're supercharged, but then you can tell them that you're not, the Ecotec is just better than the Vtec

15.22 yeah, that would take some SS/SC cars down. My first couple passes in the car were mid 15s because the launch is so hard. If more people would learn how to drive the car better / or get some more practice in that wouldnt be an issue. Give it time, we will all learn how to drive our cars better.

Yes, he'd beat many 2.0's but that doesn't mean the 2.4 is as fast, or superior to the 2.0,,don't get your ego's built. Besides, if he drives that good, I wanna see what he gets in a 2.0!
