i work with a guy who has a 1st year ss/sc. he has told me and many other guy's i work with that his car runs 11.8 in the quarter mile.
i have asked many times about his car and he tells me that it has a ud pully, and some stuff done to it. he will not tell me what the other stuff is. personally i think he is full of crap. i have invited him to bring it to the track and race me. but he never calls or shows up...
My question is what would it take in mods to put a 1st gen ss/sc into the high 11's. now i build engines and work on v8's and others. i have not really gone into the ecotec's that much. and i have been on here for a very long time. and i see what some of you have done to your cars. thanks for the replys...

Other than that, the fastest times posted on here from a stock m62 probably belong to hatrickstu, and he was only able to get it into the 12's. And that was with a **** load of mods.

 

I have an 07 TVS with other modest mods and havent seen 11s yet. Ive hit maybe mid to high 12s as my fastest, 13.1s usually. Doubtful thats hes in the 11s.

 

There would definitely have to be a TVS or a turbo involved in that setup...anywho he's probably full of crap.

 

He has the stage 4 liar mod.

 

You might have hit mid to high 12s, but you are not sure???? I would know what my times was exactly if I made it into the 12s.

thanks guy's... i have talked to him several times about his car. and he just keeps telling me and all the other guy's i work with that his car runs high 11's. some of the men i work with have told me to watch out for his car. i just laugh and go on about my business. maybe one of these days i'll have a chance to see how fast it is...

A high 11 in the 1k is about a low 14s 1/4 in most fwd cars I've seen. I would bet that's what this guy is talking about.

Not sure I know ZZP makes a TwinCharge kit for the TVS and I hear it's supposed to be pretty awesome.
