so i was leaving a local car show just like 20 min ago and this 2010 camaro SS pulls out behind me, and im just thinking it would be sooo cool if i could run him but it was an older guy so i wasnt expecting much. we both got on the highway and i hung back a lil bit and he came up next to me dropped a gear and took off i was like whoa. i was in 3rd at like 45 and obviously he pulled me hard. that was surprising enough but then he slowed up and got next to me again we lined up at 40 3 beeps and we were off i edged him out threw the top of second had inches on him we both hit 3rd he chirped so i know he was going and then just slowly walked away from me we shut down at 100 and i was at his back bumper. we slowed down he looked a lil surprised and wanted to go again. so we slowed down to 40 im guessing he started in 1st this time bc he instanly put me at his back bumper and then i slowly inched on him to about his door then he hit 3rd and i finished about 1/2 car back. we both got off at the next exit and pulled into a gas station he got out and was like wow is that thing turbo. i told him i was supercharged w/ a smaller pulley and exhaust. i asked him what he had and he told me a CAI and exhaust.
my mods are ported M62, 2.8, 60s, injen cai, vibrant header/dp, hahn cat back, and a winter tune
the turbo guys arent the only ones who can hang with new v8s

OK so an ss/tc vs a srt8 challenger can get 112 replies in a day but my ss/sc vs camaro thread wont even get one.
heh idk i feel like my loss is more of a victory for these cars well at least the SC ones showing that we can still hang with the big boys and are not to be taken lightly
but guess no one cares haha

 

oh i bet there will be alot of others chime in. i only see one thing you did not mention to the other driver, all your mods... you made it sound like you were stock except for a smaller pully and exhaust... but you did fair well. good race and writeup.
